DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com – The Vice Governor of Bali, I Nyoman Giri Prasta, expressed his pride in the readiness of several athletes who will represent Bali Province in the Sports, Arts, and Learning Week (PORSENIJAR) to be held on November 26-27, 2025
On that occasion, Giri Prasta emphasized the important role of teachers in producing a superior generation. "Great people can only produce a few quality works, while quality teachers will produce thousands of great people," he said in his remarks at the 2025 Bali PGRI Synergy and Appreciation event at the Terbuka University Denpasar on Wednesday (November 12, 2025).
He added that the athletes' various achievements are inseparable from the role of coaches who possess good qualities, qualities, and character. In 2025, 31 athletes who are teachers will compete in badminton and chess. "If teachers are qualified, we will surely be able to enjoy success together. Regarding PORSENIJAR, on behalf of the Bali Provincial Government, we express our sincere appreciation. Teachers must be able to interact and adapt digitally because in today's era, any information can be accessed very quickly," he said.
Furthermore, Giri Prasta encouraged educators to improve their digital competencies and strengthen educational infrastructure. "In today's fast-paced and instant digital world, educators need to improve their infrastructure and knowledge in educating children in schools. The government has established a model to ensure easy access to educational services for the Balinese people," he added. As a token of their concern for educators and to support educational facilities and infrastructure, Deputy Governor Giri Prasta has implemented a policy of increasing the CSR budget of PT Bank BPD Bali from IDR 100 million to IDR 200 million. This measure is intended to support teacher professional allowances, ensuring that teachers remain on par with their increasingly technologically savvy students.
The CSR program from PT Bank BPD Bali is a form of support for the Sports, Arts, and Learning Week, ensuring its smooth running. "We are currently in the AI era, namely 4.0, and are moving towards 5.0, which will rely more heavily on robotics. However, the only thing that will never be replaced is teachers. Therefore, it is crucial for educators to continuously improve their skills, character, and noble culture. A teacher's code of ethics must be upheld to provide a strong foundation for producing a competent generation," he emphasized. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Bali Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI), I Gusti Ngurah Eddy Mulya, stated that education today is full of dynamics and challenges faced by educators. "Today's education is fraught with unpleasant issues for educators. The risks inherent in learning, both inside and outside the classroom, require teachers to consistently adhere to a professional code of ethics. This way, the dignity of teachers as educational administrators will align with the teacher code of ethics and the PGRI organization in guiding development toward a Golden Indonesia," he said.
