Deputy Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati (Cok Ace) opens a meeting of Indonesia - China Cultures and Tourism Investment Summit, at Mulia Hotel, Badung, on Friday ( June 28, 2019).
In his remarks, Cok Ace conveyed that the relationship between China and Bali had been closely intertwined for decades. This can be seen from the many traces of the heritage and influence of Chinese culture in Balinese society, such as the use of kepeng money in Bali with the name pis bolong and death ceremonies using lamp lanterns or damar brackets.
The strong acculturation of culture between the people of China and Bali in the future should continue to be improved from time to time including the development of Bali tourism in particular. "Chinese tourists rank first in foreign tourist visits to Bali, and from year to year the number continues to increase, for this reason the collaboration is increasingly enhanced, especially for tourism development for both parties," he added.
Furthermore, Cok Ace said that the Bali Provincial Government is highly committed to improving the quality of tourism in Bali that is carried out with various tourism supporting infrastructure developments. On the other hand, the services of both human resources and the system are also continuously improved, thus Bali can provide the best service for tourists.
