Governor Bali Wayan Koster Holds Joint Prayers, Emitting Balinese Peace Vibration for Indonesia

Governor Bali Wayan Koster specifically held a joint prayer event, as a joint step to pray that the inauguration ceremony for the elected president and vice president for the period 2019-2024, could take place smoothly, safely, and peacefully. The joint prayer was held at Penataran Agung Besakih Temple, Karangasem, Thursday (17 October 2019).
The joint prayer was attended by hundreds of people consisting of regents / mayors, members of the DPRD, the head of the OPD, customary villages, stakeholders, and the general public supported by Ida Pedanda Gede Kerta Yoga from Griya Panji Budakeling, Ida Pedanda Gede Wayan Tianyar from Griya Menara Sinduwati Sidemen Village, and Ida Sri Bhagawan Putra Natha Nawa Wangsa Pemayun from the Kedatuan Belatungan, Pupuan.
Also present Regent Karangasem I Gusti Ayu Mas Sumatri, Chairman of Karangasem parliament I Gede Dana, Regent Buleleng Putu Agus Suradnyana, Chairman of Bali PHDI I Gusti Ngurah Sudiana, Bendesa Agung Adat Ida Pangelingsir Agung Putra Sukahet and Deputy of Bali Police Wayan Sunartha.
"I have also issued a circular to urge that this Thursday all components of Balinese society both Hindus and our brothers and sisters who embrace Islam, Catholicism, Protestantism, Buddhism, Khong Hu Cu, and the flow of beliefs to pray together at the hour the same in their respective places throughout Bali, " Governor Koster said.
The governor said, the joint prayer was held not because of political motives, nor because the president-vice presidential pair won the majority vote in Bali. "This joint prayer is held because all Balinese people really want our country and nation, including its leaders and people, to always be in a state of peace and prosperity," Koster added.
According to this former member of the Indonesian Parliament, prayers offered sincerely and wholeheartedly have extraordinary strength. "As Balinese, we believe that whatever efforts we do as humans must always involve the sekala (the real world ) and niskala (the virtual world) elements. Without the involvement of these two elements, it is probable that our efforts will end in vain," he said.
He added, prayers, ceremonies and ceremonies were the embodiment of the noetic effort which was inseparable from the life of the Balinese. This noetic effort is expected to contribute to the peace and security of the State and Nation of Indonesia.
The governor said, Besakih Temple was chosen as a place of prayer together because it is one of the upstream Balinese civilizations. In this temple, the most important thing is God 'sesuhunan' and Ancestors Ida Bethara Kawitan from all elements of Balinese society. According to him, Ida Sesuhunan, Ida Bethara Kawitan, and this 'auctioneer' that provided guidance, guidance and protection so that Bali and its people were able to maintain peace, religious tolerance, and the spiritual aspirations of the island of Bali for thousands of years.
"In the presence of God, Ida Sesuhunan and Ancestor Ida Bethara Kawitan, we are now prostrating, asking that the spiritual imperatives and vibrations of Balinese peace can cool the Indonesian political atmosphere, especially in Jakarta," Koster said .
Through this joint prayer, the Balinese request that the inauguration of the president and vice president be elected on October 20, 2019 to take place safely, comfortably, peacefully, and successfully and to be a starting point for national reconciliation.
"May Bali's spiritual vibrations emit peace for Indonesia," he hoped.
At this moment, Governor Koster also asked all elements of Balinese society to become sources of coolness for their families and communities and spread it to all parties. "Let's stop fighting with each other on social media, spreading false news, and spitting hatred towards fellow children of the nation," he said while inviting together to work together to bring peace and order to the nation and state.
