Bali as one of the world's famous tourist destinations for its fascinating arts, culture and nature is dubbed the Island of Heaven. The tourism industry as a leading sector can be threatened if sustainability, purity and value contained therein are lost.
For this reason, the Provincial Government of Bali has made a breakthrough and policy in structuring Bali fundamentally with the vision of "Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali" through the Pattern of Universe Planning, Towards a New Era of Bali.
This was conveyed by the Governor of Bali Wayan Koster when entertaining the gala dinner participants of the 2019 National Meeting of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Rapimnas Kadin) at Jayasabha, Denpasar on Thursday night (28 November 2019).
In protecting nature, several policies have been issued by the Governor of Bali. Among them, Bali Governor Regulation Number 45 of 2019 concerning Bali Clean Energy and Bali Governor Regulation Number 48 of 2019 concerning the Use of Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicles.
"Bali uses clean energy. Later the existing power plants in Bali must be fueled by renewable energy. All must be based on new renewable energy. The target for 2024 is that power plants in Bali must have used renewable energy. In addition, vehicle use policies have also been made. "Battery-based electric motors. This is an effort to make Bali's nature cleaner," Koster said.
While in the field of culture, Governor Koster has also made policies through the Bali Governor Regulation No. 79 of 2018 concerning the Day of the Use of Traditional Balinese Clothing, Bali Governor Regulation No. 80 of 2018 concerning the Protection and Use of Balinese Language, Literacy, and Literature as well as the Implementation of the Bali Language Month.
"Every national and international activity that is carried out in Bali is at least at the opening ceremony, using Balinese traditional clothing. It turns out that the policy of using Balinese traditional clothing not only arouses our love of culture, but activists of the Balinese traditional fashion industry are becoming increasingly developed and increasing. along with the increasing need for traditional Balinese clothing, "Koster explained.
To introduce dinner participants with Balinese local wisdom, Governor Koster specifically presents Arak Bali at the dinner. Arak Bali is a traditional drink that has been passed down for generations by local people who are not inferior to imported drinks. The Bali Provincial Government is drafting regulations so that these drinks can coincide with imported drinks.
On this occasion, the Governor Koster expressed his gratitude for choosing Bali as the location of the 2019 Kadin Leadership Meeting. He hoped that Kadin could contribute to building Bali and the Kadin Leadership Meeting that would be implemented could run smoothly and successfully.
Meanwhile Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, in his remarks expressed his appreciation for the program implemented by the Government of the Province of Bali in protecting the nature and culture of Bali. According to him, the nature, arts and culture of Bali must be maintained properly.
"Bali is like a beautiful girl. Everyone wants to come to Bali. Must be preserved customs, arts and culture that is indeed strong. We also must encourage local Balinese wisdom to have identity," Rosan said.
