Governor Koster Hands Over Assistance to Bondalem Village Residents After Implementing Village Quarantine

 

BULELENG, Balitopnews.com - Governor of Bali Wayan Koster on Sunday (May 10, 2020) handed over aid as part of the acceleration of handling of Covid-19 in Bali Province. This time, accompanied by the Daily Chair of the Bali Province Co-19 Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Dewa Dewa Indra, Governor of Koster handed over symbolically aid to residents of Bondalem Village, Tejakula, Buleleng who were carrying out village quarantine after local transmission.

 

The assistance handed over by the Governor of Koster at the COVID-19 Integrated Handling Office of Bondalem Village Perbekel is a CSR assistance from Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) as many as 1,500 basic food packages consisting of 5 kg rice, 1 liter cooking oil, 1 kg sugar, 1 kg egg and 10 eggs . While the Bali Provincial Covid-19 Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling delivered 400 food packages consisting of 5 kg of rice, 2 liters of cooking oil, 2 packets of instant noodles and 5,000 masks

Governor Koster gave special attention to Bondalem Village, remembering that some time ago a local transmission of Covid-19 occurred. For this reason, he hopes the people of Bondalem Village can be disciplined in following the government's appeal so that the spread of the virus is not more widespread.

 

Governor Koster instructed the Regent of Buleleng Putu Agus Suradnyana to pay special attention to Bondalem Village. Governor Koster said that the case of local transmission transmission in Bondalem Village was purely because of local residents who transmitted Covid-19. This virus is very fast transmission, if the virus is transmitted to villages outside Bondalem, it will cause big problems. For this reason, the Governor from Sembiran Village, Tejakula, Buleleng invited residents to be disciplined in using masks, washing their hands, and staying at home during quarantine and following health protocol handling.

"Here the local transmission is high, so I will pay special attention so as not to worsen its spread. The community must be disciplined in carrying out government instructions. I do not want this case to be transmitted to other villages, for that the district head will not be lax in preventing the Corona Virus from spreading, "he said.

 

According to Koster, the handling of Covid-19 in Bali was very good. Proven 65% of positive patients have recovered and this is the highest percentage in Indonesia. Even in the national percentage 16% were recorded as healed, while in the whole world the percentage of recovery was 3%. So the handling of Covid-19 in Bali is already good and of course all this is due to the support of the medical team and its disciplined community following the government's call.

 

Meanwhile, the Regent of Buleleng Putu Agus Suradnyana conveyed the efforts made towards returning Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) in accordance with applicable health protocols. After undergoing the SWAB test, the PMI will return to quarantine for 7 days to be completely free of Covid-19.

 

Suradnyana admitted that many PMI of Buleleng had arrived without the knowledge of the Task Force and stated that they carried out independent isolation, but in reality they carried out activities outside the home. Some are even stubborn and do not follow the government's appeal. At this time the returning PMI has been quarantined in one place in the Denpasar area, so that it can then focus on handling local transmission. "I appreciate the steps taken by the Provincial Government of Bali in handling Covid-19 in a structured and systematic manner. Thank you to the Governor who was present in Bondalem Village for handing over aid, this indicates that we are all serious in dealing with this virus,"he said
