Governor of Bali Wayan Koster Affirms RZWP3K Regional Regulation as Implementation of Segara Kertih Local Wisdom

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Governor of Bali Wayan Koster stressed that the Bali Provincial Regulation (Raperda) concerning Zoning Plan for Coastal Areas and Small Islands (RZWP3K) Bali Province 2020-2040 is true as the implementation of the local wisdom of Segara Kertih which is the elements of Sad Kertih and has been stated in the vision of Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali.
According to him, this was carried out by the Provincial Government of Bali as a strategy to maintain the sanctity and harmony of Bali's nature and its contents in planning to utilize monitor and control the coastal resources and small islands of Bali in a comprehensive and integrated manner so that they remain sustainable and can be utilized sustainably.
This was revealed in the 11th Plenary Meeting of the Bali Provincial DPRD with the agenda of Submitting Explanation of the Regional Head of the three Draft Regional Regulations that took place in the Main Meeting Room of the Bali Provincial DPRD Office, Renon, Denpasar, Wednesday August 5, 2020.
The three Draft Regional Regulations are Draft Regional Regulation on Amendment to Regional Regulation Number 11 Year 2019 concerning Regional Income and Expenditure Budget of Bali Province in 2020 Budget Year, Regional Regulation on Regional Zoning Plan for Coastal Areas and Small Islands (RZWP3K) of Bali Province in 2020-2040 and Draft Regional Regulation on Second Amendment to Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2011 concerning General Service Levies.
Governor Koster explained the importance of the RZWP3K Raperda as a very important and strategic marine regulatory tool in order to become a fundamental foundation in carrying out the development of the Bali region primarily in accordance with the vision of the Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali through the Pattern of Universe Planning for a New Era of Bali. The role of RZWP3K in the management of WP3K becomes very vital because WP3K is a plan that places the allocation of space from the use of space and water resources. This according to the Governor caused RZWP3K to be immediately compiled as a reference for the use of space and resources in the management of WP3K.
The Governor of Koster said, the Province of Bali has an area of more than 9440 km2 of water and a coastline of approximately 633 KM, from that area it is clear Governor Koster contained a variety of natural resources both biological and other potentials.
"I just learned about the strategic position of the coast and sea of Bali, both geopolitically and also the global economy, it turns out that our coastline and sea is the Indonesian Archipelago Sea Channel (ALKI), which has a very dense international shipping lane in the Lombok Strait, also a gateway Indonesia's main among them are the Benoa international port and the cruise ship's central node and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport which can be integrated with the sea lane, and the South Bali lane is closest to the fishing ground of Indonesia's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the Indian Ocean.
Therefore it is contained in the values of economic potential which is very important and strategic on the coast and the sea of Bali, which include capture fisheries, aquaculture, trading ornamental products or tropical aquaria, seaweed industry, deep-sea fish catches, energy utilization renewable new, coastal and marine tourism and sea transportation
"This is a very important economic potential that we have not yet managed at sea, because we have always been oriented towards land development," he explained in detail.
"Talking about the Bali sea, it turned out amazing, even though the area is smaller compared to other provinces.
