DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - The Governor of Bali Wayan Koster opened the 2020 Bali Provincial Agrarian Reform Task Force Coordination Meeting with the theme "Strengthening People's Rights to Land through Agrarian Reform in Bali Provinces, Sagilik, Saguluk, Salulung Sabayantaka " online in Denpasar, Tuesday  November 1, 2020.

Wayan Koster said that this meeting was a good moment to understand land issues related to the relationship between the state and the people.

"Because indeed the constitution and statutory regulations stipulate that we must solve problems with policies that are pro-society in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations," he said.

Governor Koster said the Bali Provincial Government is very supportive of the agrarian reform program in Bali because there are things that must be resolved. Among them are related to the problem of land already occupied by the community, land used by the community and other abandoned land that cannot be empowered by either the community or the local government because there is no legal certainty in the land.

"I think this event is very good and important to be followed and carried out in order for us to solve the problem so that it does not last forever, as in some places the community does not have legal certainty regarding the land they occupy," Koster said who is also the Chair of the Bali Province Agrarian Reform Task Force.

The governor considers agrarian reform as a very good model for solving all problems related to land to which the relationship between the state and society is entitled.

"In the province of Bali, there are several land problems that need immediate attention because there has been no certainty for quite a long time," Koster added.

Among them are land in Sumberklampok Village, Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency, land occupied by former East Timorese refugees in Gerokgak Village, Bali Provincial Government assets controlled by the community in Sumberkima Village, Gerokgak District, and abandoned land in Gunaksa Village, Klungkung Regency. .

Some of these problems have received the attention of the Governor of Bali and have made significant progress in the resolution process. Governor Koster gave his appreciation to the ranks of the Bali Province BPN Regional Office and other related parties for this progress.

"I think we are leaders at each level, if the people are happy with our policies, it is our happiness. That is our true moral responsibility as state administrators, "he said.
