Governor of Bali Wayan Koster Issues SE to Anticipate Covid-19 Transmission During  Christmas Holidays and Welcoming the New Year 2021

 DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com -  Governor of Bali Wayan Koster issued Circular Number 2021 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Community Activities During Christmas Holidays and Welcoming the New Year 2021 in a New Era of Life in Bali Province, at Jayasabha Denpasar, Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

 

According to Koster, this Circular Letter was issued because of the high transmission of Covid-19 cases in Bali, which was marked by the emergence of new clusters, the increasing flow of visits to Bali, and the high potential for crowds during the Christmas and New Year holidays in 2021, as well as directions from the Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment. .

 

Koster added, Domestic Travel Players (PPDN) who will enter Bali via air transportation must show a negative Swab result at least 2x24 hours before departure and fill out Indonesia's e-HAC. Land and sea transportation users must show a negative rapid test at least 2x24 hours before departure. This Swab and negative rapid test result certificate is valid for 14 days from issuance.


 

Governor Koster also emphasized that every person, business actor, manager, organizer or person in charge of public places and facilities who carry out activities during the Christmas and New Year 2021 holidays must implement health protocols, namely wearing masks, washing hands with soap in running water, maintaining distance, not may crowd, limit activities in public places / crowds.

 

Every person, business actor, manager, organizer or person in charge of public places and facilities carrying out activities during the Christmas and New Year 2021 holidays is strictly prohibited from holding New Year's celebration parties and the like indoors or outdoors, using firecrackers, fireworks, and the like and liquor.

 

If the related party violates these provisions, they will be subject to sanctions in accordance with Governor Regulation Number 46 of 2020 and other statutory regulations.

 

Koster also asked the Regent / Mayor, Head of Sub-District, Village Head / Lurah, Bendesa Adat in Bali and other related parties to socialize this Circular Letter. The Pangdam IX / Udayans and the Bali Police Chief were requested to carry out disciplinary enforcement operations to ensure the implementation of this circular.


 

This Circular Letter comes into force from 18 December 2020 to 4 January 2021. (gix)
