DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Crafters of Balinese fermented or distilled drinks in the form of Balinese Arak, Balinese Tuak, and Balinese  Brem received good news, after the enactment of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 10 of 2021 concerning the Investment Business Sector, which is set for February 2, 2021 .

 

"So that the Presidential Decree No. 10/2021 makes Balinese Arak, Balinese Brem and Balinese Tuak a legitimate business to be produced and developed," Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster said, Monday Soma Wage, Kulantir ( February 22, 2021) at Gedung Gajah. , Jayasabha, Denpasar.

 

Furthermore, the number one person in the Bali Provincial Government said that the Presidential Decree Number 10 of 2021 is the implementation of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation. Previously, Presidential Decree Number 39 of 2014 concerning List of Closed Business Fields and Business Fields Opened with Requirements in the Investment Sector has also been enacted, as the elaboration of Article 12 paragraph (3) of Law Number 25 of 2007 concerning Investment, by stipulating that the industry alcoholic beverage is a closed business sector.

 

Then in Law Number 11 of 2020 there is a provision that amends Article 12 of Law Number 25 of 2007 by stipulating that alcoholic drinks are not a closed business sector for investment. The follow-up to the amendment to Article 12 of Law Number 25 of 2007 is contained in Attachment III, numbers 31, 32, and 33 of Presidential Decree Number 10 of 2021 which stipulates that the business sector of the liquor industry contains alcohol, wine alcohol and open malt for new investment. in Bali Province, East Nusa Tenggara Province, North Sulawesi Province, and Papua Province by paying attention to local culture and wisdom.

 

The liquor industry containing alcohol, wine alcohol, and malt as an open business field for new investment in Bali Province is a response to the Bali Governor's efforts through the Bali Governor's Letter Number: 530/2520 / Ind / Disdagperin, dated April 24, 2019, regarding the request for facilitation revision for fostering the traditional alcoholic beverage industry in Bali to increase the income of rural communities in Bali in relation to Presidential Decree Number 39 of 2014.

 

Regarding the request for the Bali Governor's Letter Number: 530/2520 / Ind / Disdagperin, Governor Koster stated that the Indonesian Minister of Industry through the Director General of Agro Industry had responded to facilitate the revision of Presidential Decree Number 39 of 2014 and while waiting for changes to the Presidential Decree proposing regulations in regional legal products to organize Balinese fermented and / or distilled drinks.

 

Furthermore, the Bali Provincial Government on January 29, 2020 began to enforce the Governor of Bali Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning the Management of Balinese Fermented Drinks and / or Distillations which provides strengthening and empowerment of crafters of raw materials for Balinese fermented and / or distilled drinks, standardizing production to ensure security and legality, as well as the welfare of Balinese people.
