DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Balinese Indonesian Migrant Workers, with more than 22,000 people, have contributed greatly to increasing regional development, but not yet recorded good and have not received adequate treatment and protection from the Government Province, so it is necessary to provide protection both before, during and after
work / return to Bali.
Therefore, the Governor of Bali, issued a new policy in the form of a Governor Regulation Number 12 of 2021 concerning the Protection System for Balinese Indonesian Migrant Workers, as a guide in the implementation of the PMI Krama Bali Protection System as implementation of the Regional Development Vision "Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali" through the Universal Development Plan towards a New Era of Bali, which was held with
the principle of one territorial unity, namely one island, one pattern, and one governance.
This Governor Regulation aims to ensure the protection of PMI Krama Bali and their families before, during and after work, to improve PMI Krama Bali's Work Competence,
curbing the data collection of PMI Krama Bali, knowing the existence of PMI Krama Bali, and facilitating access to communication and services between PMI Krama Bali and the Provincial and Regency / City Governments.
The scope of this Governor Regulation includes: protection of PMI Krama Bali before working, protection of PMI Krama Bali during work, protection of PMI Krama Bali after work, protection of the PMI Krama Bali family, rights and obligations, an employment information system and registration of PMI Krama Bali, and the role of the community.
PMI Krama Bali protection before working includes: providing outreach and dissemination information, PMI Krama Bali Social Security program, legal assistance, facilitation of the Capital Strengthening Fund and facilitation to increase PMI Krama Bali Work Competence.
Protection before work is carried out by the Agency through facilitation and coordination with the Regency / City Government and related agencies.
Information dissemination and dissemination, including: understanding and deepening of the laws and regulations in the country of destination of placement; understanding and deepening of the work agreement material and understanding and deepening of other materials deemed necessary.
Capital Strengthening Fund facilitation was given to PMI Krama Bali which already owns it a letter of assurance of leaving for the country of placement.
PMI Krama Bali's protection during work includes: getting good services professionalism and treatment without discrimination, having the opportunity to practice worship in accordance with the religion and belief, get wages in accordance with employment agreements, obtaining legal assistance, obtaining communication access, master travel documents while working, get the opportunity to associate and gather in the country of placement, and obtain placement agreement documents and employment agreement.
PMI Krama Bali protection after work includes: returning to the area of origin, settlement of the unfulfilled rights of PMI Krama Bali, the management of PMI Krama Bali which is sickness and death, social rehabilitation and social reintegration, and empowerment of PMI Krama Bali.

The obligations of PMI Krama Bali include: registering and updating personal data

The Provincial Government of Bali will facilitate in order to improve the quality and additional competence of PMI Krama Bali, through coordination and / or implementation of education and job training organized by the Government and Local Government, as well private. With education and training, PMI Krama Bali will have competencies that can be used in addition to work so that they can increase their income.
