BADUNG, Balitopnews.com - The chairman of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) of Badung Regency, I Gusti Agung Rai Suryawijaya expressed his gratitude and deep appreciation for the commitment and persistence of the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, who is seriously fighting for the revival of Bali tourism, after the Covid-19 pandemic.

This appreciation was conveyed, not only successfully bringing back foreign tourists (tourists), but PHRI Badung expressed appreciation after the chairman of the DPD PDI Perjuangan Bali Province successfully fought for the Central Government so that Overseas Travelers (PPLN) including foreign tourists (tourists) entered the gate Bali by land and air was agreed without quarantine and the implementation of Visa on Arrival (VOA) which will start on March 7, 2022 today.

"The result of the Governor of Bali's persistent struggle is a breath of fresh air for the tourism world on the island of Bali to compete with several countries," he explained. Because according to him several countries have implemented this system, such as Phuket (Thailand), Maldives, and even Turkey.

 Gusti Agung Rai Suryawijaya realized that this was not an easy struggle in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic that is still sweeping the world. However, thanks to Governor  of Bali Wayan Koster's good connection with the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Sadikin, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Retno Marsudi, made a proposal for foreign tourists who entered the door. Bali by land and air without quarantine and the implementation of Visa on Arrival (VOA) was finally approved by the Central Government.

Even the implementation of VOA is intended for 23 countries, namely Australia, United States of America, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, France, Qatar, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Italy, New Zealand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam. , Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and the Philippines. So this will make it easier for prospective foreign tourists to travel to Bali whenever they want.

"So we can see later, of course this will be a breath of fresh air and an attraction for foreign tourists. Moreover, 11 airlines will be added later to fly to Bali, such as KLM, Jetstar, Tigerair, Turkish, etc. There will be more choices for foreign tourists," he added.

 With this new policy, his party also expressed his optimism for the recovery of tourism and the Balinese economy. Although not 100 percent immediately, he is very optimistic that at least in 2022 tourism will move again until later in 2023 tourism will recover and in 2024 Bali's economy can be stabilized.

With this process of revival of Bali tourism, I hope that the tourism industry will continue to cooperate and cooperate with the government and the community to continue to comply with the COVID-19 Prokes, so that the security and comfort of Bali tourism can continue to be controlled," he explained, saying that all must have the same goal, namely reviving the Balinese economy.

To welcome this good news, the Head of the Badung Regency PHRI, I Gusti Agung Rai Suryawijaya, has asked hotels to form a small task force in their respective places, so that they can overcome various unwanted possibilities. In addition, hotels receiving foreign tourists are also CHSE certified.
