Tumpek Kandang Day, Governor Bali Wayan Koster Released Tukik in Yeh Gangga Beach

Commemorating the Tumpek Kandang Day on Saturday (12 October 2019), Governor  Bali Wayan Koster carried out the release of the Tukik (Turtle Son) in Yeh Gangga Beach , Sudimara Village, Tabanan Renency. Also present in this activity  the chairperson of the provincial parliament of Bali I Nyoman Adi Wiryatama, Vice Regent of Tabanan I KG Sanjaya.

The activity that was started by praying "Angurip Pramana Segara Kertih". It  was prayer led by Ida Shri Bhagawan Putra Nata Nawa Wangsa Pemayun.

Governor Koster explained the release of the hatchlings was a tangible manifestation of the implementation of the Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali vision. Namely maintaining the sanctity and harmony of Bali's nature and its contents.

The vision said Governor Koster intended to organize fundamentally and comprehensively the development of Bali which includes three main aspects, namely nature, manners and Balinese culture based on the values ​​of Tri Hita Karana which is rooted in local wisdom of Sad Kerthi. Which consists of Atma Kerthi, Wana Kerthi, Danu Kerthi, Segara Kerthi, Jana Kerthi, and Jagat Kerthi.

Then according to Governor Koster, the activities carried out at this time as a form of implementing Segara Kerthi. "We live in a world that must preserve the harmony of Bali's nature and its contents. Not only with humans, but also plants, animals and others, both on scale and at noetic," Koster said.

Governor Koster added, Balinese society for generations had actually been taught by the ancestors to guard, love all creatures that exist. Governor Koster said, this life was created to benefit together. For that, together must take care of it well.

"Before being released, Tukik was tried first. Not just released, but in order to survive in the wild. This good heritage will be carried out in the vision of Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali. So that Bali's nature and its contents can be maintained with "Because we know, the Balinese were taught by the ancestors to love everything in the world. This life was created to benefit together. For that we must manage the contents of this life well," he said.

Furthermore Governor Koster who is also the Chairperson of the PDI-P Bali Province  explained that the focus of the current policy of the Provincial Government of Bali is to preserve the sanctity and harmony of Bali's nature by structuring Bali's development fundamentals comprehensively.

Governor Koster mentioned, several policies that had been issued by his party, such as Bali Governor Regulation No. 97 of 2018 concerning Limitation of Disposable Plastic Waste Disposal.

 

"Many of the regulations that I have compiled to support the sanctity and cleanliness of Bali's nature. One of them is related to the restrictions on the generation of disposable plastic waste, straws and styrofoam as stipulated in Pergub Number 97 of 2018. Since it was announced, the first Pergub in Indonesia has gotten a lot appreciation and positive responses from various regions. Even the international world, "he said.
