AMO Bali Supports Governor's Invitation to Make Bali the Leading Guard of Peace

The Bali Online Media Association (AMO) which houses around 11 local online media on the Island of the Gods strongly supports the invitation of Governor Wayan Koster to make Bali the foremost in maintaining unity and peace.

The support was conveyed by AMO Bali Chairman Nyoman Sutiawan accompanied by Secretary Nyoman Sukadana, Wednesday (May 22, 2019) in Denpasar.

According to Nyoman Sutiawan who owns Metrobali.com, the appeal of Governor Koster should be supported by all the components of the Balinese community. Because he continued, the Bali region that was dependent on the tourism sector was very vulnerable to sensitive issues especially related to security issues.

"Bali has always been an international spotlight, let alone the news of chaos, even a small commotion in the digital era today, in seconds spread throughout the world. So do not let the news due to negative events, the impact must be borne by the wider community," he reminded.

He said, Balinese people have long been known as a peace-loving society inspired by cultural values ​​that always emphasize harmony and peace of mind.

"So the appeal of the Governor of Bali is actually considering us as Balinese people to return to their identity and our basic character, namely loving peace. Let us as Balinese people be the leading example in maintaining national peace and unity," he said.

The way he said, was not provoked by various hoaxes which tend to smell SARA and spread the hate speech including the government.

"Don't let you drink in Jakarta, but we in Bali are drunk. It's funny!" He said.

Previously, Governor Wayan Koster during the Knitting Togetherness in the Frame of NKRI activity held by the Bali Regional Police in Klungkung on Monday (20/5) invited all parties, especially the Balinese to support the KPU and the results of its decisions regarding 2019 Presidential and Legislative Elections.

" We are  in Bali, forefront of unity and peace, I hope the Balinese do not join in the demonstration. Bali is also a world tourism area, so convenience and security must be prioritized, " Koster Said.

Koster also wants peace and unity after this election can be massively voiced from Bali, in addition to seeing the reality of elections in Bali which generally runs very smoothly and safely.
