Mengwitani-Singaraja Shortcut Accelerated, Governor of Koster Accelerates Integrated Infrastructure

Governor Bali  Wayan Koster stressed that the development process for the Mengwitani-Singaraja shortcut was a priority infrastructure program integrated under his leadership period.

"Our priorities are to build integrated infrastructure, sea and air. All must support each other,"  Koster said  at the Mengwitani-Singaraja Km 47 + 800 Ground Breaking Shortcut (SC4) located in Candikuning Village, Baturiti, Tabanan on Thursday (18 July 2019)

Governor Koster explained, after completing point 3-6 which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019, the project carried out with the provincial government and central government joint venture funds will continue to be accelerated until the whole can be completed in 2021. "It must be completed, because we have received commitments from Minister of Public Works . I will guard,” Koster  said.

While related to land acquisition, Governor Koster ensures that it will be completed in the near future "The issue of land acquisition this year must be completed until next year, only physical development will be accelerated," he explained.

Then the Governor who was born in Sembiran Village, Buleleng again reminded again that land acquisition should not cause dissatisfaction from affected residents affected by the development-free land of Mengwitani-Singaraja.

"This shortcut project generally gets appreciation from the people, whose land we are free to treat properly, we replace the land with reasonable prices, and even we make new homes complete with objections,"   Chairman of the DPD PDIP  Bali  province explained.

For land acquisition, it has budgeted Rp 230 billion plus funds from the APBD Amendment.

Furthermore, with the completion of this development, it will not only shorten the distance of Mengwitani-Buleleng, but also increase the comfort of driving. "Furthermore, it will create a new economic point, it can be a restaurant, a hotel that ends to improve the economy of the community," he said.

In addition, Governor Koster also did not reject the development of other shortcuts to facilitate infrastructure integration. "So for North Bali Airport, be patient first. We improve the path of supporters, so that everything is organized and planned," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the National Road Improvement Center (BBPJN) VIII I Ketut Darma Wahana revealed, until now the progress of the construction point 5-6 has been completed 60 percent. "Whereas point 3 has been completed 30 percent, and point 4 has been running 30 percent," he explained.

According to Wahana, 3-4 points will shorten the travel time by 5 minutes by shortening the distance of 800 meters. "Even though it's a little but much more comfortable because of the 15 corners, there are 5, it's also much sloping with a slope of 6 degrees," he explained "Thank you for the Tabanan regency, traditional villages and residents who helped smooth the development," he said.
