The Mayor of Denpasar Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra opened Sanur International Kite Festival 2017 which was marked by a dragon kite flight at Mertasari Beach, Sanur on Saturday, August 5, 2017.
Sanur international kite festival followed by 64 participants from 19 countries and 58 participants from various cities in Indonesia.
Rai Mantra said enjoy the festival atmosphere and appreciate various creative activities in Denpasar city like Sanur Village Festival which is arranged with various activities, including Sanur International Kite Festival which is regularly held every year.
"In addition to supporting the cultural conservation of kites also have an economic impact, especially this activity can bring participants abroad," said Rai Mantra.
Chairman committee of the Sanur International Festival Kadek Dwi Armika said the festival is part of BritAma Sanur Village Festival which became one of the kite circuits awaited the world's masters. "These international participants promise to share their experiences in Bali to fellow guests from their respective countries," he said.
