Pelangi Will Held Tabanan Kite Festival in Tanah Lot

Pelangi ( Persatuan Layangan Indonesia ) held Tabanan Kite Festival in Subak Gadon, Luruh Pakendungan Temple, Tanah Lot area, Beraban Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, Saturday and Sunday, September 9-10,2017.
Chairman of Pelangi Tabanan I Made Edi Wirawan, Monday (4/9/2017) said Pelangi Tabanan formed one year ago exactly July 16, 2016 will hold Tabanan Kite Festival event for the first time. The event with a total prize of Rp 100 Million is held in Subak Gadon, west of Pura Pakendungan Tample, Tanah Lot.
"The number of participants who have registered as many as 1500," he explained.
Edi added, Tabanan Kite Festival 2017 in addition to channeling the hobby of the rare angon (a name for fans kites) also aims to preserve the cultural content of Bali as a means of art culture, sports, recreation and tourism. "We do not want the culture of floating it extinct because lapsing is a tradition that has been dilakoni downhill" he said while saying that the history of rare angon as written in lontar Adi Parwa is one tradition believed by the public associated with agricultural fertility.
There are twelve catagories in Tabanan Kite Festival, such as bebean local tabanan, pecukan local tabanan, bebean remaja, bebean dewasa, bebean big size, pecukan remaja size, pecukan dewasa size, pecukan gegulakan the icon of Tabanan. RRBNC
