Balitopnews.com, DENPASAR – Governor of Bali Wayan Koster asked TP PKK both provincial, regency, sub-district and even villages to be able to move the existing structure to participate actively in socializing processing, sorting and directing communities around the area to move to deal seriously with waste, bearing in mind the landfill at one final disposal site will cause problems for the area concerned.
This was conveyed when he officially opened the PKK Bali Provincial Level consultation meeting in 2020, at Wiswa Sabha Utama, Bali Governor's Office, Tuesday (February 11, 2020)
"We recommend that trash segregation starts from the internal household itself, so that the target to move the pile / pile of residual waste can be minimized, because this has a significant influence on tourist visits to Bali," Governor Wayan Koster said in his speech.
The governor added that the PKK TP is a strong and structured organization from the Central, Provincial, Regency, District, Village and even Sub Village / Banjar which has an important role in building the community starting from clothing, food, shelter and education even regarding the success of the environment. The ex officio PKK organization is expected to be able to work well with the government in supporting the vision and mission of regional development in a more advanced and developing direction.

In her direction requested that there be a program related to source-based trash management, where one region and another did not move each other to produce the trash. "If the trash production is from our house, then don't take it to someone else's house. If it is the property of our district, then don't take it to another district / city because they are not a shelter that is always ready to smell the stench of trash that comes from outside region, " Mrs. Putri Koster said.
She said, trash management regulations must be clear and measurable by sorting organic and inorganic trash bearing in mind that not all trash can be processed into fertilizer. This is expected to be a serious concern for all parties, bearing in mind that trash management has also been regulated in Bali PERGUB Number 47 of 2019 concerning source-based trash management. One of them is to socialize the provision of segregated trash bins and to use the facilities of trash bins developed in villages / communities, namely the separation of leaf and plastic trash. The selection of plastic trash removal can proceed to the trash bank that is prepared at one point per district / city or region that has it.

The Consultation Meeting was concluded with the submission of the results of the RAKON from the Chairperson of the PKK Bali Province to the PKK Regencies / Cities in Bali, hoping to increase the synergy between the TP PKK Bali Province with the Regencies / Cities in Bali in realizing a prosperous society and giving birth to a generation smart, healthy, achievers and superior in quality. In addition, it was emphasized that each program contained in a number of activities could be carried out simultaneously and continuously.
