Balitopnews.com, DENPASAR – Vice Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati asserted that until now in Bali there has not been a positive Covid-19. From the data of 29 patients under supervision as many as 22 people were negative laboratory results, while 7 people were still waiting for laboratory results.

This was revealed in coordination meeting about handling corona virus in the Meeting Room of the Praja Sabha Governor Bali Office Tuesday morning (March 3, 2020).

At the meeting, Cok Ace also explained the efforts of the provincial government with related agencies, especially after an official statement from the President related to 2 people who were positively infected by the corona virus. "We can no longer say that nothing happened, even though the distance between Jakarta and Bali is different, the island is different, but we are all Indonesian and there are official reports that there has been an outbreak in Indonesia," Cok Ace  explained.

He said, some paradigms needed to be improved, all information must be more open now, through mass media, social media and other media. "In essence, we coordinate the readiness of health facilities in Bali, hospitals when there are people who are infected with the corona virus in Bali," Cok Ace said . He stressed, until now in Bali, no one has been positive about contracting corona. "But we still have to prepare ourselves as best as we can, the readiness of health facilities, such as a place of care and special isolation rooms to deal with affected patients,"  Cok Ace added.

He added, there were three hospitals that were used as references for corona indicated patients. Among Sanglah Hospital there are 18 beds with 4 isolation beds equipped with WHO standard negative pressure rooms, Sanjiwani Hospital in Gianyar there are 3 isolation rooms plus 9 beds and Tabanan Hospital there are 7 beds and 2 isolation rooms. This number is very likely to continue to be added if there is a need.

"We also prepare scenarios and schemes if things happen that are not desirable, for example if there are 50 patients, if it reaches 100 people, over 200 people and so on, the scheme already exists. But now we are focusing first on these 3 referral hospitals, " Cok Ace said . He also said that the Bali provincial government had also prepared a scenario to block a hospital if there were many cases. "Udayana University Hospital in Jimbaran, ready with a capacity of 100 patients, then there is the Bali Mandara Hospital with a capacity of 200 patients. This is the worst possibility, "Cok Ace said.

The meeting also discussed the cleanliness and mechanism of the flight path at Ngurah Rai Airport to anticipate people entering Bali, which has also been carried out with proper and maximum SOP, so there is no need to worry excessively. For Ngurah Rai Airport, 3 thermo scanners have been installed, while in Benoa Harbor 1 thermo scanners have been installed. "One thing that should be known especially by the public is that patients infected with the corona virus have a high likelihood of recovery, up to 98 percent. It's just that the spread is very fast. The possibility of recovery is very high, "Cok Ace said. He also appealed to the wise people in using masks, hoarding will be dealt with firmly. Masks also do not be misused because the designation is only for single use. If necessary, the mask that has been used is immediately cut so that no party can recycle. "Always take care of the health and cleanliness of the surrounding environment, to enhance our body's immunity," Cok Ace explained.
