Balitopnews.com, DENPASAR - Until this Saturday (March 21, 2020) the number of Covid-19 patients who tested positive in Bali was three. Ie, 2 foreigners have died and 1 citizen is still in care.

This was revealed by Bali Provincial Secretary  Dewa Made Indra, Saturday (March 21, 2020) in Denpasar. The statement of Sekda Dewa Indra at the same time clarified the positive number of Covid-19 in Bali, which was announced earlier at 4 people (2 foreigners and 2 Indonesian citizens), to 3 positive people of Covid-19 (2 foreigners had died and 1 citizen was still being treated). "Two people have died foreigners, one person has been cremated and another person remains in the hospital, and currently the hospital and the government is coordinating with the Consulate General of the foreign national and his family to get an agreement on the next body," Indra  explained.

He added, for 1 positive person Covid-19 (from previous data 4 people) was someone who had previously served in Bali, and now has returned to his area. The person concerned experienced symptoms of fever and checked himself in the hospital where he lived (his area), so that the results of the swab were positive so he entered the list of cases of Covid-19 in his area.

Dewa Indra explained that related to the positive patient Covid-19 ( foreigners) it was explained that the person concerned at the time of the incident was riding a vehicle and stopped on the side of the road. Then delivered to the hospital and an examination with initial results of patients suffering from heart disease. "In addition to examining the patient's history of illness, the team of doctors also conducted a continuous test, the sample was taken and tested by a laboratory with positive results of Covid-19," he explained.

He explained, the development of searches that had close contact with patients of Covid-19 foreigners died, then obtained as many as 199 people (on March 20), and this number increased by 18 people (on March 21) so that the total number of contacts that had been close to Covid-19 (WNA) positive patients became 217 people. "At this time when the Health Service Team continues to carry out ongoing monitoring of those search results. In collaboration with the District Health Office Team, communication, education and isolation as well as quarantine at their respective homes and follow the protocol of self-isolation, "he added.

Still explained, the case of patients under supervision (PDP) handled was 95 people plus 5 people (reported to the hospital and had received treatment according to handling procedures).

Samples that had come out of the laboratory test results were 71, 68 people were stated negative and had been discharged from the hospital Samples that have not come out as many as 24 people are waiting for laboratory tests and are still being treated at the hospital, if the laboratory results come out and are declared negative, then they will be allowed to go home from the hospital.

Meanwhile, Secretary Dewa Indra  who is also the Chairperson of the Covid Task Force Team -19 has written to the IX-Udayana Military Comand, Bali Regional Police and KOREM 163 Wirasatya and Regency / City in Bali to activate all villages to actively engage in providing education and coordination to their communities to help protect themselves and make efforts to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 in their respective regions, starting from the environment of their respective homes as well as possible.

The Covid-19 Task Force has also written to the Customary Village Council (MDA) and the Bali Customary Bendesa to conduct simultaneous mass disinfection on Nyepi dredging day (March 24th) right in the afternoon, at the same time urging to participate in activating the corona virus handling post in his village each.

Furthermore, the Covid-19 Task Force Team also prepared a quarantine place for migrants (workers outside Bali returning to their area) especially those from affected countries, and Bali is trying to prepare a quarantine place at the UPT Bali Provincial Public Health Training Center, in addition to being applied domestic special lane at Ngurah Rai Airport for PMI and seafarers returning from abroad.

Secretary of the Gods Indra also appealed that all parties not spread the unclear news of its origin that came from unofficial sources, so as not to panic many people and disturb the peace of the wider community.

All parties are expected to contribute to following the directions of the Provincial Government of Bali, the Central Government, Regency and City Governments to study, work and carry out activities from home, as well as reduce activities outside the home, this is as an effort to cut the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Regarding Rapid Test not only being in the interests of the community but also in the interests of the Bali Provincial Government for the Task Force in dealing with the corona virus, the Team is working to continue to look for supporting tools that function to conduct rapid tests, and until now there has not been in Indonesia. It has collaborated and coordinated with the Central Government both BNPB and the Indonesian Ministry of Health, and is trying to contact and seek distribution of equipment through distributors who distribute medical devices or pharmaceuticals and agents to obtain these tools, including PPE procurement.
