Balitopnews.com, DENPASAR - Governor of Bali Wayan Koster will strengthen port supervision which is access to the province of Bali. This was revealed in an application letter addressed to the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia on March 29, 2020.

In letter numbered: 551/2500 / Dishub, Bali Governor Wayan Koster requested the Indonesian Minister of Transportation to conduct strict selection of passengers who will cross at the Ketapang crossing port in East Java, Gilimanuk port in Bali, Padang Bai port in Bali, Benoa port in Bali, and Port of Nusa Tenggara Barat. Only allow crossings for passengers or vehicles related to the interests of logistics transportation, health care needs, security, personal needs that are urgent, and official duties of the central and local governments. Restrict port operations and reduce crossing frequencies and immediately realize port and crossing authorities to establish integrated posts equipped with health facilities, ambulances, thermogun, and isolation rooms and medical personnel.

Previously, the Governor of Bali had also issued an appeal on March 27, 2020 asking the people to reduce or postpone trips to Bali or leave Bali unless there is a very urgent need or foreigners returning to their country. This appeal does not apply to logistics transportation, handling health transportation, security, and official duties of the central and local governments. (Balitopnews.com/gix)
