The Case of Kampung Jawa, Governor of Bali Wayan Koster Appeals All Parties to Build a Conducive Atmosphere, Not Blaming Each Other

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Governor of Bali Wayan Koster urges all parties to build a conducive atmosphere not to blame each other, create polemics, but instead must develop real attitudes and actions with a spirit of mutual cooperation, together with the Government and the community, so that the COVID-19 pandemic can ended up as shared expectations.


This was conveyed by Governor Koster, Tuesday (May 26, 2020) addressing the emergence of cases of a mass of people who violated health protocols and the potential for the spread of COVID-19 in Wanasari , Kampung Jawa, Dauh Puri Kaja Village, Denpasar.

 

According to Governor Koster the occurrence of a mass crowd on May 23, 2020 during the night of takbiran is a spontaneous event of young people in the region.

 

"The young people who took part in the event have submitted their apologies via video to law enforcement officials and the community," Governor Koster explained

 

He added, the Police in this case the Denpasar Police had conducted a process by calling a number of people involved in the event to be questioned, and this process must be supported together.


"As Governor, I urge all parties not to dramatize and politicize the event, and not have to associate it with the Ngaben Ceremony in Sudaji Village, Buleleng Regency, because the history of the two events is indeed different," Governor Koster said. 

He also asked all parties not to issue statements that condemned or blamed the Law Enforcement Officials and the COVID-19 Task Force, as law enforcement officials had worked well, were very cooperative, and supported the policy of the Governor as Chairman of the Task Force in handling COVID- 19 in Bali. Thanks to the good synergy, coordination and cooperation, the handling of COVID-19 in the Province of Bali can run in a disciplined, orderly, and safe manner.
