DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Bali Provincial Secretary Dewa Made Indra appreciated the performance and dedication of a number of volunteers for their cooperation with the Government in helping with many matters in the handling of the Covid-19 case which has entered its sixth month but has not shown any signs of abating.

 

 On the contrary, the number of confirmed cases continues to increase. As recorded in the data as of September 20, Bali recorded a positive confirmed number of 7,749 people, recovered 6,338 people (81.79%), and died of 216 people (2.79%), with active cases per day to 1,195 people ( 15.42%).

 

This raises concerns for the life of people in Bali, which is known to most of its citizens relying on the tourism sector. "However, we must never give up on the current situation, because after all we have to face the Covid-19 pandemic together, we fight it by implementing health protocols whenever and wherever they are. And I ask that there be an additional 10 quarantine hotel points specifically for OTG

The award certificate was given directly by the Regional Secretary of the Province of Bali to volunteers from Potential SAR Radio 115, Gowri Rescue, d'Pohon, Indonesia Ambulance Escort and Tagana Badung who previously served in the quarantine of LPMP and BPSDM witnessed by the Head of BPBD Bali Province I Made Rentin .

 

Seeing the development of positive cases of Covid-19 increasing, the Head of BPBD Bali Province I Made Rentin according to the direction of the Bali Regional Secretary will prepare ten (10) hotel points that will be used as quarantine for residents who are confirmed positive with mild symptoms and people without symptoms (OTG). ). Of these ten hotels, one will be managed directly by the Province and the remaining nine (9) will be managed by each existing Regency and City. This was done as an effort to accommodate OTG cases and mild symptoms who previously underwent isolation in their respective homes. Where the tendency to be undisciplined is still predicted to be a gap in the spread of Covid-19 family clusters. "Those who are positive with mild symptoms or OTG may have been disciplined to isolate themselves, but not necessarily with their families, both spouses, parents and their children. So that the possibility of the spread of the corona virus still occurs and is widespread in the family," Made Rentin said. 


 

In addition, Made Rentin added that health workers consisting of nurses and doctors who handle and are in direct contact and confirmed positive are also prioritized to get a hotel where isolation is in order to restore body immunity and health.

 

For now, out of the 157 room capacities available from three (3) quarantine places, namely the BPK Pering Education and Training Center, Bapelkesmas and Wisma Bima, 88 rooms are filled and the rest are scattered in 17 other referral hospitals.

 

To minimize the increase in cases due to local transmission, the Covid-19 handling task force team will again tighten supervision, including control for residents who have been indicated / confirmed positive with mild symptoms and people without symptoms (OTG), who will also be isolated in hotels in the future. appointed with a system of control and supervision of medical personnel.
