Opening Bali Jani Art Festival,  Governor Koster Seeks to Build an Ecosystem for the Advancement of Modern, Contemporary Art and Other Innovative Works.

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Governor of Bali Wayan Koster opened the Bali Jani Art Festival (FSBJ) II 2020 at Ksirarnawa Building, Art Center, Saturday, October 31, 2020.

 

 This time the FSBJ carries the theme #BaliArtsVirtual which will be held virtually through the official YouTube channel belonging to the Bali Provincial Culture Office (Disbud). for a week, from October 31to November 7, 2020.

 

Governor Koster said that his party is committed to making this annual festival a vehicle for appreciation for art actors, especially modern art. This festival is a forum to showcase various abilities, as well as efforts to build an ecosystem for the advancement of modern, contemporary art and other innovative works.


 

"In addition to the appreciation for traditional art actors who are hosted by the Bali Arts Festival (PKB), we are also preparing a vehicle for appreciation for modern art at this FSBJ, which is the second event. So that Bali currently has two different art rides. Hopefully it can continue to improve in terms of the quality of its implementation, strengthen the dynamic implementation of the two vehicles from year to year, "he said.

 

Accompanied by Putri Koster and Vice Governor Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati (Cok Ace), Governor Koster reiterated that this festival was not only supporting cultural preservation during the pandemic, but also as an answer to the consistency in enforcing Regional Regulation No. 4 of 2020.

 

"The regional regulation on the Strengthening and Advancement of Balinese Culture which was promulgated on July 9, 2020, and in line with the vision for the Development of the Province of Bali 2018-2023, Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali through the Plan of Universal Development Planning Towards a New Era of Bali," he said.



 

"Bali does not have natural resources, so it should be grateful if it has art and culture that is second to none. This culture will remain as long as the human being is alive and willing to maintain and innovate on that culture, "he concluded.

 

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bali Provincial Culture Office, Prof. Dr. I Wayan 'Kun' Adnyana SSn ,. Sn, said that the virtual art format this time is expected to reach the widest possible range of creative possibilities, elaboration, and exploration related to aesthetics, stylistics, artistic techniques, and thematics. Including vehicle or media processing (the use of various new / digital media tools in the process and presentation).

 

"The virtual festival implementation format is a form of social transformation for the Balinese people. There is a process of transfer of knowledge and skills that occurs simultaneously in Bali. That is related to the process of preparation and production of a communal art performance online, including how the public can enjoy and enjoy this dish. , " Kun Adnyana explained

 

He further explained that FSBJ II carries the main theme 'Candika Jiwa: Puitika Atma Kerthi', which means the current universe of creativity in 'immersing' the soul, spirit, taksu, or bright ideas. Showcasing various art activities including Pawimba (Competition), Adilango (performance ), Megarupa (Exhibition), Weighing Taste (workshop) 

Beranda Pustaka (Book Exchange), and Bali Jani Nugraha Awards. It was attended by 45 art galleries / foundations / communities in Bali, involving around 1,000 artists and art workers.

 

Meanwhile, in the opening ceremony, a Colossal Art Adilango (performance) entitled 'Angel Penubit Jiwa' was presented in the form of an opera offering Sanggar Kini Berseri, in collaboration with the SMA / SMK arts community. (Gix)
