DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Various moves made by The TP PKK Bali Province under the leadership of Putri Suastini Koster have caught the attention of the PKK activating team in a number of regions, one of which is South Sulawesi (Sulsel). In particular, The Chairperson of the South Sulawesi PKK TP, Liestiaty Fachrudin, brought her board members to conduct a study in Bali.

Putri Koster received The TP PKK South Sulawesi group accompanied by the Head of the Bali Province Community Empowerment, Village, Population and Civil Registration Service Putu Anom Agustina and the board of The TPbPKK Bali, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Kertha Sabha Building, Denpasar.

Putri Koster said that the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic was felt for the Bali area. More than that, the pandemic also has an impact on the activities of the organizations he leads. "Because it is limited by health protocols, during the pandemic we did not do many activities in the field," She said.

Putri Koster said that the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic was felt for the Bali area. More than that, the pandemic also has an impact on the activities of the organizations he leads. "Because it is limited by health protocols, during the pandemic we did not do many activities in the field," She said.

However, it does not mean that the TP PKK Bali has no activities at all. During the pandemic, The TP PKK Bali  took a lot of roles in disseminating various policies of the Bali Provincial Government in preventing the spread of Covid-19. "We are actively involved in campaigning for government policies to reach the community," She added.

The number one companion in Bali said the pandemic was spreading so fast that all parties were confused. "In response to this, the Governor of Bali took quick steps by involving the role of traditional villages in handling Covid-19 in the Bali area," She said.

According to her, civilizing the community to comply with 3M's health protocol (Wearing Masks, Washing Hands and Maintaining Distance) is not an easy matter. For reasons of inconvenience, many people are reluctant to wear masks while on the move outside the home. However, The TP PKK Bali Province  continues to socialize and educate people until the public understands the importance of using masks during a pandemic.

In addition to disseminating government policies, during the pandemic, The TP PKK Bali  also aggressively distributed aid in the form of basic necessities and masks for people affected by Covid-19. In line with that, the Provincial TP PKK also mobilized the ranks of the district / city TP PKK to hold a 'pemak' that provides free basic necessities for the community.

She expressed her  pride, because one of the programs, namely HATINYA PKK (Beautiful and Comfortable Beautiful Garden Pages) which was intensively implemented since last year, has actually been very beneficial for the community during the pandemic. More than that, she is also grateful because Bali has the figures of tough women who have helped the family economy in the midst of the pandemic.

"The women here do not remain silent, with their skills such as cooking, sewing and others, they try to increase their income to meet family needs," She explained.

In another part, this woman who is good at reading poetry shares a story about herself being exposed to the corona virus. When she was tested positive for Covid-19 with the status of OTG (People Without Symptoms), she discovered the fact that there was a negative stigma aimed at those exposed to the virus.

"Many of those who are affected then prefer to remain silent and hide," She said.

Observing this phenomenon, as a public figure she then tries to educate the public by distributing a video made at the quarantine location.

"Having a virus is not a crime, you don't need to hide it. It's just that, those of us who are exposed are also obliged to take care of the people around us consciously to isolate ourselves. Because this virus exists and is dangerous, "She said.

Meanwhile, the Head of TP PKK South Sulawesi Liestiaty Fachrudin expressed her admiration for the figure of Putri Koster who he often met while attending PKK events in Jakarta. According to her, Bali is the best and many things can be learned from this area. "We want to learn many things, one of which is related to developing UMKM," She said.

In addition to gaining knowledge, The TP PKK South Sulawesi  visit to Bali is also a form of support for efforts to restore tourism which has been hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. During her visit in Bali, LIestiaty scheduled visits to a number of tourist objects and craft centers. The group that arrived at the Island of the Gods on Tuesday (24 November 2020), will return to South Sulawesi on the next Thursday (26 November 2020).

The meeting of The Chairperson of The TP PKK Bali and South Sulawesi  was also marked by the exchange of souvenirs, hospitality and poetry reading by the Head of the Bali Province Community, Village, Population and Civil Registration Service, Putu Anom Agustina. Several TP PKK South Sulawesi also took turns on the stage to read poetry by The TP PKK management. At the end of the event, Putri Koster presented a complete performance poem title Sumpah Kumbakarna by  Denok Kristianti's  (Gix)
