BADUNG, Balitopnews.com - Governor of Bali Wayan Koster appreciates the national vaccination program which is being implemented simultaneously throughout Indonesia today, Sunday, February 28, 2021. This movement is an effort to restore health as well as a stage of recovery in the economy of Bali, especially the tourism sector.

 

This was revealed when Governor Koster accompanied the Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin to review the implementation of drive thru vaccination in the Nusa Dua-Badung BNDCC area, Sunday (February 28, 2021)

 

According to Governor Koster, tourism recovery is the target he wants to give the first opportunity. "I together with a number of related Ministers have formulated a green zone which will be allowed to be visited by domestic tourists and foreign tourists. Therefore, let us support and succeed the national program aimed at tourism in order to accelerate the recovery of the economic condition of Bali. No need to be afraid to be vaccinated. "Because if we can do it quickly, tourism recovery will also be faster,"  Governor Koster explained 

 

Meanwhile, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that tourism sector actors are the top priority to be considered as vaccination recipients during the Covid-19 pandemic. Given that tourism is the foundation of the Balinese economy in their daily life.

 

He added that the simultaneous mutual vaccination movement between the local government and the private sector under the direct supervision of the Indonesian Ministry of Health was a joint breakthrough against Covid-19. This activity itself targets 5 thousand tourism actors in Bali, including the elderly, grabers, both drivers and food deliverers.

 

"The drive thru vaccination service which is centered in the Nusa Dua BNDCC area is the first vaccination service in Indonesia, even in Southeast Asia. The drive thru vaccination service is a synergy between the Health Office, the Bali Provincial Tourism Office with Grab and Good Doctor under the supervision of the Indonesian Ministry of Health,"  Minister of Health Budi Gunadi said. 

 

He said the vaccination target that was carried out for five days was as many as 5 thousand people, with the Sinovac vaccine type. Because this vaccine is a supply that came very early.

 

In carrying out vaccinations as an effort to restore tourism in the midst of a pandemic, his party urges the community to support the implementation of this mutual cooperation movement and not to be afraid to be vaccinated. Indonesia uses four types of vaccinations, namely Sinovac, Astra Zeneca, Pfizer Inc and Biontech and Novavax.

"We in Indonesia use four types of vaccines, because the world experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic is competing for vaccines. As long as we have passed the trials and have permission from WHO and BPOM, we better use them. Because Indonesia has recorded the number of people who died due to Covid. -19 as many as three hundred people per day, and nine thousand per month. And if we postpone this vaccination movement, the deaths due to Covid-19 per year will be 108,000 people. Therefore, as soon as possible we vaccinate the wider community. And this vaccine not for business, but purely for social activities, "Minister of Health Budi Gunadi said. 

 

He admitted that it was impossible for the government to work alone and must cooperate with other parties. "So we really have to build a mutual cooperation movement to be able to accelerate economic recovery. Where the principle must be given free to the community. So that the concept of mutual cooperation from each company in Bali can prepare vaccines with different brands so that there is no competition. supply, " Budi Gunadi  added.

"For that, let's do our best today for the people of Indonesia, especially Bali. This has been manifested by the Minister of Health, supported by Grab Indonesia and Good Doctors throughout Indonesia, as concrete actions to implement innovation, good creations with the application of the CHSE and protocols. strict health. We are starting to vaccinate as one of the steps towards resolving Covid-19, " Sandiaga Uno said.
