Governor of Bali Wayan Koster Opens Bali Jani Art Festival III 2021

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com -  Governor of Bali Wayan Koster opened  Bali Jani Arts Festival (FSBJ) 2021 which took place at the Ksiraarnawa Building, Denpasar Cultural Park, Saturday (October 23, 2021).


 

According to Governor Koster, the Bali Provincial Government pays great attention to the promotion of Balinese arts, customs and culture. This is shown by the holding of two means of promoting the arts which are held annually, namely the Bali Arts Festival (PKB) which is an event for the excavation, preservation and development of Balinese traditional artistic values ​​which has been held since 1979, and the Bali Jani Arts Festival . 

 

"This Bali Jani Arts Festival  provides the widest possible space for artists to develop modern and contemporary art. I hope that artists, writers, art activists can continue to work, innovate so that art will continue to grow and develop according to the times without leaving the noble values ​​of our culture, " he said.

 

He also emphasized that the implementation of the Bali Jani Arts Festival was an important and historic moment in the dynamics of the arts and culture of the Balinese people. Balinese art and culture continues to grow, live and develop and the artists are very responsive to the progress and developments that occur



 

"Art has become the DNA of Balinese society. This is what makes art develop innovative and creative. Our joint task is how to develop and maintain existing art and can continue to grow. For that artists need to be accommodated properly, and Bali Jani Arts Festival provides space for modern art and Bali Arts Festival provides a platform for traditional arts," he said.

 

Bali Jani Art Festival, initiated by multi-talented artist Putri Suastini Koster, was first held in 2019 and is a milestone in the revival of modern and contemporary art. In its third implementation in 2021 in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic this time, it is carried out offline and online with strict procedures.

 

Bali Jani arts festival  III with the theme 'Jenggala Sutra: Susastra Wana Kerthi' which means 'The Latest Universe of Creativity: Harmony of Self and Earth in the Extensiveness of New Creation', which will be held for two weeks from 23 October - 6 November 2021. There are 45 programs to be held These include Medeeng Anyar (virtual carnival), pawimba (competition), Adilango (performance), workshops, book exchange and Bali Jani Nugraha.

 

In the opening of Bali Jani arts festival III this time, Medeeng Anyar (virtual carnival) was shown and the musical opera theater performance "Pusaka Rimba" was presented by Teater Kini Berseri.
