JAKARTA,Balitopnews.com - The Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, said that the 144th IPU Session in Bali was a form of mutual cooperation from all the World Parliaments. Indonesia will make the 144th IPU event a success and Bali is ready to host it.
According to Puan, the implementation of the 144th IPU smoothly and according to plan must be a mutual cooperation from all parties so that it can be carried out properly. Of course, not only from the host but also involving IPU participants from all over the world.
This was revealed by Puan Maharani, in Jakarta during a dialogue with the theme of a special event: Indonesia hosted the 144th IPU Session ( March 17, 2022).
Puan Maharani revealed that the 144th IPU in Bali was not only ceremonial, with conferences discussing certain themes but no implementation."The impact of holding IPU in Bali is for the short term, if Indonesia succeeds successfully, then there will be local domestic impacts, especially in Bali and MSMEs can also rise again where later delegates from various countries can see, like and participate in marketing the results of the MSMEs," Puan explained
The chairman of the House of Representatives said that the COVID-19 pandemic has actually become a challenge and that all anticipatory measures have been taken, such as PCR checking on the 144th IPU participants. Meanwhile, according to Puan Maharani, there are still restrictions on the participation of IPU participants in Bali due to the Covid-19 pandemic, where the target is 1000 participants from 178 countries. However, based on existing reports, it can actually be more than 2000 but is limited.
