Regional Secretary Dewa Indra Explains the Bali Provincial Government's Preparations for the 10th WWF International Event

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com – Bali is once again hosting a prestigious international event, namely the 10th World Water Forum (WWF). Various preparations have been made by the Government, including the Bali Provincial Government. Bali Province Regional Secretary Dewa Made Indra also revealed that this event was of great interest to the Bali Provincial Government. "The provincial government certainly pays great attention, especially to imaging Bali as a conducive and safe condition," he said when representing The Acting. Governor of Bali S.M. Mahendra Jaya was a resource person along with Bali Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Ida Bagus Kade Putra Narendra. S.I.K., M.Si., and Pangdam IX/Udayana represented by Kasdam IX/Udayana Brigadier General TNI Sachono, S.H., M.Si., M.Tr., at the Police Precision Program Talk Show on Kompas TV with the theme "Optimal Security in Bali, Ready to Welcome the 10th World Water Forum, taking place at the Presisi Building, Bali Police, Denpasar, on Tuesday (April 23, 2024)

 

He continued that technically the implementation of the entire 10th WWF activity had been prepared by the Bali Provincial Government, such as welcoming delegates at the arrival gate, preparations at the main venue to the event site, until the delegates' return home was the responsibility of the Bali Provincial Government. "The opening ceremony will be held at The Meru Sanur, panel discussions and forums will take place at ITDC Nusa Dua, Gala Dinner at GWK, and we will present the tradition of water glorification through the celebration of Tumpek Uye as a cultural site at Kura-Kura Beach, Sanur," He explained .

 

The next side event will also be held at the Subak  Museums  and Jatiluwih . Regarding the readiness of tourist destinations, he also admitted that he had contacted popular destinations in Bali through the Tourism Office and the Regent/Mayor to prepare themselves if there were informal visits from various delegations in terms of cleanliness, neatness, order and service. "Even though we are very confident that this has been well maintained by tourist destinations, we are still coordinating," he added.

 

Regional Secretary Dewa Indra is also confident about the readiness of hotels in Bali to welcome this event. According to him, apart from having high quality standards, this can also be seen from previous experiences such as the 2022 G20 Summit, the 2023 AIS Summit and the holding of other international events. "Now our task is to disseminate information as widely as possible to the public, both through print, digital and outdoor media, that Bali will host the WWF event. "Thousands of tourists as well as VVIP and VIP guests will come, which of course could have a very good impact on Bali's tourism and economy in the future, so as before I am sure the Balinese people will welcome it," he concluded.
Meanwhile, from a security perspective, Bali Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Ida Bagus Kade Putra Narendra and Kasdam IX/Udayana Brigadier General TNI Sachono have also stated various preparations that have been held jointly by the TNI/Polri. The Bali Regional Police Chief said that the Police would involve 5,791 joint personnel from the National Police Headquarters, the Bali Regional Police to the East Java Regional Police. "Not only that, we also coordinate with the security task force and other stakeholders," he explained. Apart from that, the National Police also took part in securing the escort of VVIP and VIP guests on the highway. Meanwhile, according to Kasdam IX/Udayana Chief of Staff Brigadier General Sachono, TNI preparations are 85% complete. The level of security and escort for VVIP and VIP guests is carried out by Paspampres in coordination with his party.
