Deputy Governor of Bali,  Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati officially opened Jatiluwih Festival # 2 at D’Uma Open Stage, Jatiluwih Village, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency, Bali (September 14, 2018).

 

The opening of the Festival which lasted for two days was marked by the beating of a gong by Deputy Governor of Bali  Cok Ace, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Tourism Dr. Pitana, The Regent of  Tabanan Ni Putu Eka Wiryastuti, Vice  Regent of Tabanan IKG Sanjaya.

 

 

In his speech, Deputy Governor of Bali  Cok Ace said that the Jatiluwih Festival must be able to arouse a sense of caring and responsibility to maintain the noble ancestral heritage of Balinese people. "The purpose of this festival is certainly to maintain the world cultural heritage that we have, so as to improve the welfare of the community" he explained. On behalf of the people and the provincial government of Bali, he expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the implementation of this festival. "And Jatiluwih Festival can be used as annual program for the Tabanan Regency Government to realize the ideals of the Tabanan government development," he said.

 

Meanwhile, various arts were displayed at the opening ceremony which began at 11:00 A.M. Such as Rejang dance performances by PKK in Jatiluwih Village, Bikul Pisuh and owl dances, Balawan performances and many more. ( Balitopnews.com / Made Donny )
