Inspection of water tourism service readiness. Tabanan Military Territorial Commander (Dandim) Lt.Col Inf Hasan Abdullah visited Puncak Indah Bedugul (PIB), one of tourism spot in Beratan Lake, Bedugul, this morning (Friday, December 28, 2018) 

 

This visit was intended to inspect safety procedures in water tourism providers, in order to anticipate the surge of visitors during Christmas and New Year season this year. The commander appealed all water tourism providers to coordinate intensely and improve communication procedures with related officials, especially the marine police. These are important to prevent unintended matters happened to visitors' safety. Not less important, all people must hold their responsibility to keep the surroundings clean.

 

"In general, all water tourism providers apply safety procedures already. However, they have the opportunity to optimize it, in terms of the quantity of life jackets and safety briefings before the visitors on board," Lt. Col Hasan said.

 

He said further, improvement in terms of accomplishment of safety standards is long term investment in tourism. "It will attract more tourists to visit this beautiful site, since their safety is assured,” Lt Col Hasan added. 

 

In that occasion, Lt. Col Hasan also inspected lake coasts and ports by a motor boat assigned to Marine Police of Tabanan Police Station, accompanied by the Commander of Marine Police, 1st Inspector Ida Bagus Astawa, and the Manager of PIB Mr. I Ketut Semara.
