Interfaith Joint Prayers to Smooth the Presidential Inauguration

In the context of the Inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2019-2024 (Joko Widodo - Ma'ruf Amin) which will be held on Sunday (October 20, 2019 ) Governor Bali Wayan Koster issued an appeal to all Chairpersons of the Religious Council to hold a joint prayer together Simultaneously at the respective shrine / place of worship on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at 09.00 Central Indonesia Time or adjust to the respective time of worship.
The appeal contained in the Governor's Circular Letter Number: 454/2493 / B.Kesra dated October 12, 2019 was addressed to the Chair of PHDI, Chair of MUI, Chair of MPAG, Chair of Walubi and Chair of Matakin Province of Bali and Chair of the Diocese of Denpasar.
According to Governor Bali Wayan Koster, the joint prayer invitation is intended to invoke security, peace and the smooth inauguration of the President and Vice President. "We invite all people to remain united in maintaining national security so that the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia runs smoothly and successfully," said the governor who also served as Chairman of the DPD PDIP Bali Province.
Regarding the current security situation, he also reminded the public not to be easily provoked by information circulating in public spaces without knowing the truth. Governor Koster hopes that the community will remain united and consistently take care of the Republic of Indonesia for the peace of all the nation's children. "Let's maintain the conduciveness of the nation, let's support the President in completing his duties in the first period and we also support him in carrying out his duties later in the second period after being inaugurated," he concluded.
