Balitopnews.com, Denpasar – Governor Bali Wayan Koster received a visit from Swiss Ambassador Kurt Kunz in the Bali Governor's Guest Room, Bali Governor's Office, Wednesday (November 4, 2019). This meeting discussed the latest information about the economy, environment, tourism and the future development of Bali.

 

Swiss Ambassador Kurt Kunz said, every year around 700 thousand Swiss tourists come to Indonesia, most of whom come to Bali. In addition, not a few Swiss citizens who settled in Bali. "Around 520 Swiss citizens live in Bali," Kunz said.

 

They are involved in various fields such as education, tourism, culinary and environment. That is why Ambassador Kunz paid attention to the comfort and safety of Swiss tourists in Bali.

 

Ambassador Kunz also provided some input on tourism such as immigration, cleaning and traffic services. He welcomed the steps taken by the Governor of Bali Wayan Koster in managing the development of Bali. "Culture and the environment are very important for local people. This is capital that must be maintained by Bali, "Ambassador Kunz said while appreciating the Bali Provincial Government's policy of developing clean energy and organic agriculture.

 

He hopes that Switzerland's relations with Indonesia, Bali in particular will improve, especially in the economic, environmental and tourism sectors.

 

 

On this occasion, Bali Governor Wayan Koster conveyed the direction of Bali's development going forward with the vision of Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali, which among others is managing tourism, caring for local wisdom and protecting the natural environment. "For this clean nature, we will implement an organic farming system that reduces chemicals in the soil so that no environmental pollution occurs. Regarding tourist safety, the Governor said that Bali has a Regional Disaster Management Agency that is ready to anticipate possible disasters. "Tourism actors are also ready," he said.

 

 

To develop a creative economy in Bali, the Governor hopes that Bali can learn from Switzerland to develop the watch industry. "The Balinese have good hand skills and are good at making designs," he said. He hopes that Balinese designs can complement Swiss experience and technology in making watches.
