DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Bali Province Regional Secretary who is also the Daily Chair of the Bali Province Co-19 Task Force for the Acceleration of Coordination Handling Dewa Made Indra responded to the news in several media related to the statement of the Head of the Denpasar Transportation Agency (Kadishub) I Ketut Sriawan about the Arrival of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) at Benoa Harbor, Denpasar.

In his statement, Denpasar Kadishub I Ketut Sriawan, Thursday (April 16, 2020) said that all PMI who had just returned from abroad descended on Nipah Island, Tanjung Balai Karimun and Galang Island, Riau Islands, not at Benoa Harbor. Sriawan said that in fact in relation to the return of PMI from Bali, his office had coordinated with the provincial government and all of them shared their tasks.

In this regard, Sekda Dewa Indra gave an explanation on Thursday (April 16, 2020) evening in a press conference related to the implementation of the Covid-19 Task Force in Denpasar. Dewa Indra even hoped that the statement made by Kadishub Denpasar was not true. However, if such a statement is made, Dewa Indra said that it was not right.

"If it's like that, then the name is not right. One OPD (regional apparatus organization) rejects national decisions, "he said.

According to Dewa Indra, the repatriation of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) or crew members (ABK) using cruise ships anchored at the Port of Benoa was a decision of the National Task Force. Dewa Indra said was discussed by government leaders. The Governor of Bali was said by Dewa Indra to have communicated and written to the Chairperson of the National Task Force. Furthermore, as an apparatus, his job is to carry out orders.

"If in the province there is such a pity, then it is certain to take decisive action. Because it is not appropriate. How could a Head of Service reject the central government's policy," he said.

Dewa Indra added, the reduction of ABK at Benoa Port was a national decision and various aspects had been considered. For this reason, he invited all parties to participate in implementing the decision. (Balitopnews.com/md/rls)
