ÚDENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Governor of Bali Wayan Koster highly appreciates the involvement of all agencies and the general public in implementing the Mutual Cooperation Market. This was revealed when Governor Koster attended one of the Mutual Cooperation

Markets organized by the Bali Nusra Regional OJK vertical agency in Denpasar, Friday, August 7, 2020.

This activity is a follow-up to Circular (SE) Number 15036 of 2020 concerning the Balinese people Mutual Cooperation Market Program. In the circular, the regional government, vertical agencies, BUMN / BUMD and the private sector held the mutual cooperationBali  Market on every Friday morning.

Governor Koster said that this activity was in accordance with the direction of Indonesian President Joko Widodo on July 15, 2020 at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, to prioritize the use of local products to stimulate the economy of farmers, fishermen, crafters and SMEs.

According to the Governor, the goods provided for sale in this activity are daily staples according to the needs of employees. Therefore, civil servants (PNS) in the Bali Provincial Government are required to spend 10 percent of their salaries to shop at the market.

Governor Koster said, according to a circular that those who act as sellers must be direct farmers, and not middlemen or traders. "I hope the farmers come directly and those who buy the employees directly, maybe the general public," said the governor from Sembiran Village, Buleleng.

With this model, the Governor continued, it would make prices cheaper, and for example the vegetables purchased were in fresher condition. Because agricultural products are purchased directly from the hands of farmers. On the other hand, employees also find it easy to meet basic needs.

Equally important, the implementation of the Gotong Royong market puts forward the implementation of the New Era Life Order protocol. This activity became one of the economic forms of mutual assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Governor Koster said that Bali Province was the first province to implement this pro-people program. Even the Governor of Bali's creative initiative received appreciation from the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian.

"We must try to leverage the economy, one of which is by buying local Balinese agricultural products," he said.

Elianus said that in the OJK Bali Nusra office alone there were around 100 employees participating in buying various agricultural products for sale. In addition to OJK employees, he also invited financial industry circles to shop.

Representatives of a number of state-owned banks, BPD Bali, BPRs and other financial industry circles were present.

To maintain a safe distance, Elianus said he invites financial industry players in stages every week. "Hopefully (this activity, red) will be useful to restore the economy of Bali," he said. (Gix)
