HATINYA PKK Spurred the Spirit of Ulakan Village Residents in Farming at KWT Laksmi Dewi

KARANGASEM, Balitopnews.com - The Chairperson of TP PKK Bali  Province , Mrs. Putri Suastini Koster, has the Hatinya  PKK movement with the aim of optimally managing her yard and using it to grow food and productive crops such as vegetables, so that this kitchen spice is welcomed by residents of Banjar Dinas Tengah, Ulakan Village, Manggis District, Karangasem Regency by creating the Laksmi Dewi Women's Farmers Group (KWT) which consists of 30 members.

 

This was seen when the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster made a working visit on Sunday (23 August 2020) morning to the Laksmi Dewi Women's Farmer Group with the Bali Provincial Secretary, Dewa Made Indra, and the Head of the Bali Province Agriculture and Food Security Service, Ida Bagus Wisnuardhana, and attended by the Vice Regent of Karangasem, I Wayan Artha Dipa together with the Chairman of the Karangasem DPRD, I Gede Dana.


 

On that occasion, the Chairperson of the Women Farmers Group Laksmi Dewi, Ni Ketut Sulaksmi who was accompanied by the coach, I Made Arta Dana, reported that the Laksmi Dewi Women's Farmer Group was created because of hearing the information broadcast of the Hatinya  PKK's  program in Bali Province which we consider very useful to support food needs in the community, especially in the situation of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

 

"To make it happen, we immediately gathered the residents, after gathering it turned out that the same spirit wanted to create food security, so we continued to form the Laksmi Dewi Women's Farmer Group, which has 30 members," said Ni Ketut Sulaksmi while revealing that the land we use for farming is land ' Ayahan Desa 'area of ​​44 are. Meanwhile, the plants we planted in this land were cassava, tomato, bayem, chilli, eggplant, cucumber, bitter melon, kale, moringa, lemongrass, red ginger, and banana and papaya trees.

 

During harvest time, the Laksmi Dewi Women's Farmer Group does not only distribute the harvest of vegetables, to fruit to its members. However, said KWT coach Laksmi Dewi, I Made Arta We also distribute the harvested funds to residents in need to ease their burdens in terms of food security amid the Covid-19 pandemic.



 

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bali Provincial Agriculture and Food Security Service, Ida Bagus Wisnuardhana, in front of the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, stated that the existence of the Sustainable Food Yard Group (P2L) and the PKK HATI Program are very much in line with policies in the Bali Provincial Government which have a mission of providing sufficient food for krama Bali, and as a form of implementation of the Governor of Bali Regulation Number 29 of 2020 concerning the Conservation of Balinese Local Plants for Taman Gumi Banten, Usada, and Greening.

 

To implement the Sustainable Food Yard (P2L) program, Ida Bagus Wisnuardhana revealed that the Central Government through the Deconcentration State Budget for the Food Security Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture and through the Bali Provincial APBD have participated in financing this P2L activity. For 2020, P2L activities were carried out by 70 KWTs spread across Bali, such as 32 KWT development stage P2Ls, each given a stimulus fund of Rp. 15 million, and 38 KWT of P2L for the growth stage were given stimulus funds, each of which was valued at Rp. 50 million.
