Inaugurated by President Jokowi, Governor of Bali Wayan Koster Participates in the Launch of Virtual Cash Aid throughout Indonesia

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - President Joko Widodo officially launched a cash transfer program throughout Indonesia for 2021 on Monday, (January 4, 2021) which was also attended by Bali Governor Wayan Koster from the Jaya Sabha Position House, Denpasar.

 

In his briefing, President Jokowi said that the Government had prepared a social assistance budget (Bansos) of IDR 110 trillion. According to the President, this assistance was used to overcome the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic which was given in several stages, and it was confirmed that the recipient would receive it completely without deduction with strict supervision. "I also emphasize that no one should use it for non-essential things, such as cigarettes, for example," The President said. 

 

President Jokowi added that the 2021 cash assistance will be provided to the community in several stages. First, the Family Hope Program (PKH) is given four stages in January, April, July and October through banks that are members of Himbara.

Then, the basic food assistance program will be distributed from January to December 2021. The value is IDR 200 thousand per month per family card (KK).

 

"Then cash social assistance is given for four months. From January, February, March April and the value is Rp 300 thousand per month per family. This is all clear," he explained.

 

The Head of State hopes that this assistance can ease the families affected by Covid-19. In addition, it can be a trigger to drive the national economy.

 

Meanwhile, Social Minister Tri Risma Harini said in her report that cash assistance throughout Indonesia for 2021 was in the context of national economic recovery. "This cash assistance includes the Family Hope Program as well as the Basic Food Cards and Cash Assistance with a budget of Rp 110 trillion," She said.

 

For the first phase, PKH is distributed to 10 million families amounting to Rp. 7.17 trillion. Meanwhile, the basic food cards will be distributed to 18.8 million families with a budget of Rp3.76 trillion and Cash Bansos will be given to 10 million families amounting to Rp 3 trillion, so that the total budget for cash assistance in January 2021 will reach Rp. 13.93 trillion.

 

On that occasion, the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, confirmed that he would continue the President's instructions to escort the aid to the right hands. "There are no deductions or any names. If there are (those who receive less / deduction, red), report it to me,"   Governor Koster said when talking directly to the aid recipients who symbolically attended a total of 24 people from all over Bali.
