31,000 Covid-19 Vaccine Produced by Sinovac Arrive in Bali, 30,320 First Priority Health Workers

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Governor of Bali Wayan Koster accompanied by Pangdam IX / Udayana Maj. Gen. Maruli Simanjuntak, Bali Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Putu Jayan Danu Putra, and the Head of the Bali Provincial Health Office I Ketut Suarjaya received 31,000 vaccines from Biofarma Bandung which were sent (January 3, 2021) and arrived January 5, 2021 Tuesday morning, at the Bali Provincial Health Office.

 

 Wayan Koster said the number of vaccines received was 31,000 vials produced by Sinovac. Currently the vaccine is still in the testing phase by the BPOM. Vaccines are stored in the vaccine storage room in the cool room of the Bali Provincial Health Office before being distributed to all districts / cities throughout Bali.

 

The target of the first phase of the vaccine is health workers at the forefront of 30,320 people, with details of Jembrana Regency as many as 1,533 people, Tabanan Regency 3118 people, Badung Regency 5,551 people, Gianyar Regency 3,134 people, Klungkung Regency 1,691 people, Bangli Regency 1,246 people, Karangasem Regency. 1,074 people, Buleleng Regency 3,590 people, and Denpasar City 9,383 people.

 

Distribution to districts / cities is still waiting for a decision from the Central BPOM to be carried out by the Health Office.

 

According to Koster, this is an honor for the central government to the Province of Bali, which is given so many portions of 31,000 vials which are the priority of the central government, because Bali is indeed a target for the speed of health recovery for Covid-19 in order to restore tourism in Bali Province.

 

And also hopefully give confidence in the recovery of national tourism as well as efforts to restore the economy in Bali and Indonesia.
