Putri Koster Motivates Balinese Swimming Athletes to Raise The Bali Flag at PON XX Papua

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Putri Suastini Koster, who also acts as the Provincial Board of Trustees (Pengprov) of the Indonesian Swimming Association (PRSI) Bali, provides motivation for athletes who hold time trials to be prepared for PON XX Papua in 2021.

 

Putri Koster invited the young Balinese athletes to give their best for the flying of the Bali flag at the PON XX event.

 

"It is this athlete who is the pride of Bali who will fly the proud flag of Bali. We can only pray that you prepare yourself, because this prestigious PON event requires unmitigated preparation," She said in an activity held at the Tirta Arum Blahkiuh swimming pool. Badung Bali Saturday (May 29, 2021).


 

Putri Koster said Bali was known as the 'palace' of outstanding athletes, especially at an early age. "For the seniors, it must also be accelerated. There will be more infrastructure provided and hopefully the government will pay more attention to athletes' facilities in the future. If our desire is strong, it will come true," She said.

 

Putri Koster emphasized that sports that have great potential must continue to be improved.

 

"There is swimming, martial arts and others. There must also be an appreciation for athletes, their health and well-being, because Bali is not only an art and culture and so that athletes are no longer confused thinking about the future," She said.

 

If it is necessary, the woman who is also the Chairperson of the Bali PKK TP will encourage the Governor of Bali to make this happen, starting from the ingredients, to guaranteeing the future of the athletes.


 

"The government can also cooperate with the private sector on work issues. I will ask for special attention from the governor," She said.

 

"But now first show ananda's achievements for Bali because as the saying goes, Once means death after that. Therefore let's remain serious, focus sincerely and straight, Men there in Sano's corpore, in a healthy body there is a strong soul," She concluded.

 

The General Chairperson of PRSI Bali, Anak Agung Ngurah Adhi Ardhana, explained that the Pelatda has actually started since last April and the athletes will continue to take part in a time trial to obtain the best record.

 

"We use the promotion-relegation system in this Pelatda. Athletes with the best record times, or breaking records, are encouraged to promote to the Regional Plates in Jakarta," he explained.

 

Ardhana also mentioned that the aquatic sport in Bali is very successful and even dominates the junior age group.

 

"And in PON Papua, if we can succeed, maybe we can ask for an international level infrastructure," he hoped.

 

The chairman of KONI Bali I Ketut Suwandi said that the time had come for athletes to achieve achievements ahead of the XX PON in Papua.

 

"The determination to work hard will result in achievement. Important historical records for parents, regions and themselves. Therefore, use these 120 effective days to practice," he said.

 

Suwandi also explained that the Balinese swimming sport had just broken the record at the 2016 West Java PON by getting a gold medal for the first time.

 

"We can prove it can also 2021. Show we can and can do better. Even though the budget is small, we can rank 6th nationally," said Suwandi.

 

The nine swimming athletes from Pelatda Bali, for male athletes namely Agus Nuarta, I Putu Wirawan (Pelatnas), Muhammad Fauzan Martzah (independent TC), Pande Made Iron Digjaya, while female athletes, Dewi Novita Lestari, Eva Lilian, Komang Adinda, Nugraha, Intan Putri, and Ni Made Putri Yunadi.
