DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - The Acting  Governor of Bali S.M. Mahendra Jaya reminded that state spending disbursed to regions in the form of Budget Implementation Lists (DIPA) and Transfer Funds to Regions (TKD) for 2024 should be used according to priorities and focus on results. He conveyed this hope at the digital handover ceremony of DIPA and TKD for Fiscal Year 2024 in the Main Wiswa Sabha Room of the Bali Governor's Office, Monday ( December 11, 2023).

For your information, in the 2024 budget year, Bali will receive a APBN allocation of IDR. 23.604 trillion, in the form of central government spending (DIPA) of Rp. 11.995 trillion and TKD of Rp. 11.609 trillion. Further Pj. Governor Mahendra Jaya hopes that DIPA and TKD funds will be allocated to support the implementation of priority programs in 2024, namely reducing poverty, eliminating extreme poverty and reducing the prevalence of stunting by updating data to increase the accuracy of social protection programs through collaborative interventions. Apart from that, the government is also paying attention to efforts to improve the quality of education and health services, revitalize industry and strengthen applied research to increase competitiveness and strengthen supply chains and business competitiveness by creating a friendly, conducive investment climate, increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs, cooperatives, agriculture and marine fisheries. "Accelerating the development of basic infrastructure and connectivity to support economic activities and accessibility to basic service centers is also a priority program for the government in the coming year," he said.

Continuing the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, The Acting. Governor Mahendra Jaya reminded DIPA and TKD funds to be used in a disciplined, thorough, efficient and effective manner. "Spending must be according to priorities with a focus on results, increase transparency and accountability and there must be no corruption," he added. Apart from that, he also emphasized the importance of synchronizing central and regional development and accelerating budget execution at the beginning of the year so that the benefits are immediately felt by the community. Concluding his remarks, he touched on the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Elections. Mahendra Jaya asked all levels of ministries/institutions as well as regional governments to build synergy so that the elections could be carried out well. "I also invite all levels of society to actively participate, support and make the election a success," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (Kanwil DJPb) of Bali Province, Teguh Dwi Nugroho, said that in the period 2020 to the end of 2023, the APBN will be a very reliable instrument in dealing with turmoil such as the pandemic and rising energy and food prices. More than that, the APBN also plays an important role in economic recovery and protecting society. He added, for the Bali Region, the 2023 APBN has produced important output in accelerating development and economic growth. "The output includes a number of infrastructure developments such as Sanur Harbor, Mengwitani Shortcut, Sidan Dam, Arrangement of the Pura Agung Besakih Temple area as well as construction of roads and bridges, the benefits of which are felt by the community," he explained.
In another part, Dwi Nugroho informed that the 2024 fiscal policy carries the theme "Supporting Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Transformation". In line with this theme, the 2024 APBN is designed to accelerate economic transformation, so that it can play a greater role in protecting the people and stabilizing the economy from global shocks such as stabilizing food prices, energy security and controlling inflation. Apart from that, the APBN is an instrument in efforts to realize people's welfare, reduce extreme poverty, stunting and inequality.
