Bali Provincial Government ASN Neutrality Task Force Conducts Outreach at Two Work Units in Tabanan

TABANAN, Balitopnews.com - In order to ensure the neutrality of ASN and non-ASN employees, the Bali Provincial Government has formed a Task Force which has begun monitoring and coaching a number of OPDs and schools. The Bali Provincial Government's ASN and Non-ASN Neutrality Task Force Team carried out monitoring at two locations, namely the Tabanan Regency Regional Tax and Retribution Service UPTD (PPRD) which was received by the Head of the UPTD. PPRD Tabanan Regency I Ketut Sadar and at Tabanan 1 State High School (SMA), which was received by the Principal of SMAN 1 Tabanan I Nyoman Surjana, Friday ( December 15,2023)

Deputy Chair of the Bali Province ASN and Non-ASN Neutrality Task Force, I Nyoman Gde Suarditha, assured that all ASN and non-ASN employees within the government have the commitment and consistency to maintain neutrality and not take part in practical politics. He reminded again that ASN has the principle of neutrality which is mandated in Law Number 5 of 2014 concerning ASN. The regulation states that ASN are prohibited from becoming members and/or administrators of political parties. "ASN is also mandated not to take sides from any form of influence and not take sides with anyone's interests," he stressed. It was emphasized again that ASN's non-neutrality would be very detrimental to the state, government and society. Furthermore, monitoring and guidance regarding the neutrality of ASN and Non-ASN will then be reported directly to the Acting Governor of Bali.

Monitoring, guidance and socialization of ASN and Non-ASN neutrality regulations collaborates with relevant agencies, making it easier to monitor matters that have been determined. Secretary of the Bali Province ASN and Non-ASN Neutrality Task Force, I Made Mahadi Sanatana, in his direction said that neutrality is not something new, but is being implemented more intensively in this election period. Even though ASN has the right to vote on the day of the election, they are still not allowed to show support in the days before voting. So it is very necessary to be firm in guarding your heart not to participate in the euphoria of winning a candidate promoted by a political party. "What must be done to foster commitment, namely by making an integrity pact, and avoiding tendentious patterns that show support for one political party and the candidate it supports," he said. He added that there are 13 prohibitions for ASN and non-ASN. Among them are 11 bans with severe disciplinary sanctions and 2 bans with medium disciplinary sanctions. Because if practical politics occurs, it is considered that this person is the cause of dividing the close relationship between ASN and non-ASN members. "This does not mean that we cannot vote or exercise our right to vote, but it is mandatory for all of us to remain neutral together, not influence or invite other people to support our choice," he added. The ASN and Non-ASN Neutrality Task Force has three tasks, namely prevention, action and monitoring. He explained that preventive measures had been taken through a number of activities such as briefing Bawaslu, signing the Integrity Pact and reciting the neutrality pledge. He further added that the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Elections has the potential to result in violations of the neutrality of ASN and non-ASN employees. Previously, the Government had issued a Joint Decree (SKB) regarding Guidelines for the Development and Supervision of Neutrality for State Civil Service Employees (ASN) in the Implementation of General Elections and Elections. The SKB was issued to guarantee the maintenance of ASN neutrality in the general elections and simultaneous regional head elections in 2024. ( Rls/Btnc)
