Regional Secretary Dewa Indra: representing The Acting. Governor of Bali S.M. Mahendra Jaya at the Working Visit of Committee IV DPD RI

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Bali Province Regional Secretary (Sekda) Dewa Made Indra said that the 2005-2025 Regional Long Term Development Plan (RPJPD) targets had been achieved at a macro level, in fact many of the figures were above the national average.

He said this when giving a speech representing The Acting. Governor of Bali S.M. Mahendra Jaya at the Working Visit of Committee IV DPD RI, in the context of Monitoring the Implementation of Law Number 17 of 2007 concerning the 2005-2025 National Long Term Development Plan, at the Main Wiswa Sabha Building, Bali Governor's Office, Denpasar on Tuesday ( January 16, 2024) "The macro target of economic growth for 19 years minus the Covid-19 period has been relatively achieved. "Except during the Covid period because it is beyond human control," he explained on the occasion which was also attended by the Chairman of the DPD RI, Dr. H. Mahyudin, S.T., M.M, Leader of the MPR RI Prof. Fadel Muhammad, Deputy Chair of Committee IV Fernando Sinaga, S.Th., and Team/Prov Coordinator. Bali Dr. Made Mangku Pastika, M.M.

In general, the bureaucrat from Pemaron Village, Buleleng, explained that inflation in Bali for almost 20 years has been quite under control. "The exception occurred after (the Covid-19 pandemic, ed.), because tourism had just opened and people's purchasing power suddenly skyrocketed, resulting in inflation. "However, in 2023 inflation will return to control," he added. Apart from that, the good figures are also followed by the Gini Ratio Index, which can be seen that inequality in Bali is far below the national level. Furthermore, he also added that the poverty level in Bali is far below the national level. According to him, poverty cannot be eliminated because there are physical aspects that determine it, such as disability and demographics. Regarding the extreme poverty that has emerged recently, according to him, it is still very low in Bali. Regarding several declines, such as in the livestock, fisheries and agriculture sectors, he did not deny that production had fallen. However, there are other indicators that must be looked at, such as the farmer's exchange rate which has risen quite a bit. "Production has decreased but this has been accompanied by an increase in the exchange rate for farmers, so this can be offset," he concluded.

Deputy Chair of Committee IV DPD RI Fernando Sinaga said the National Long Term Development Plan (RPJPN) is a national development planning document for a 20 year period which aims to design a national development planning system based on general principles of state administration. According to him, the RPJPN is also a reference for Regional Heads in preparing the RPJPD. He also added that the problems occurring in Indonesia which were the focus of DPD RI Commission IV were the poverty level which was still relatively high, state income which was still medium and development gaps within the regions. DPD RI Leader Mahyudin emphasized that the RPJPN must be able to fight for the interests of regions that have not been represented, so that on this occasion it is hoped that the aspirations of the Bali region can be absorbed as much as possible. The same thing was also expressed by DPD Member for the Bali Electoral District, Made Mangku Pastika, who hoped that this meeting could absorb comprehensive aspirations for the development of Bali.
