DENPASAR, Balitopnews – Regional Secretary (Sekda) Bali Province Dewa Made Indra expressed his appreciation and pride for the selection of Udayana University (UNUD) as one of the universities trusted to take part in drafting Presidential Regulations (Perpres) concerning Draft Laws for Regional Regulation, Authority and Local Wisdom of Special Regional Governments Capital of the Archipelago. "So let's take the time together to contribute our best thoughts so that the formulation produced in this FGD is also extraordinary," he said when opening the FGD on the Draft Presidential Regulation on the Division of Special Regional Government Areas for the National Capital, at the Praja Sabha Meeting Room. , Bali Governor's Office, Denpasar on Friday (26 January 2024) .

Moreover, according to Dewa Indra , IKN is not just a capital city, but is designed to be an international city, sustainable city, and even a concept for the capital of the future, so an unusual approach is needed. According to him, the use of old nomenclature is no longer used. "However, I believe that the UNUD team can produce a proud formulation," he added, saying that input from various parties was needed to produce more colorful recommendations.

Furthermore, he admitted that moving a capital was not an easy matter. Even in some countries it takes a very long time. The transfer of IKN in Indonesia is quite fast, so more efforts are needed to make it happen. "Only strong leaders can do it, and the UNUD team includes strong people in it," he concluded. Meanwhile, Head of the Legal and Compliance Work Unit of the National Capital Authority, IB, Nyoman Wiswantanu, said that IKN would become a center for development, economic progress and a symbol of national identity. Not only that, IKN will also become a city for the world, because it is estimated that many world investors will invest there. "So we need contributions of ideas and thoughts on the nomenclature of this Regional Division Presidential Decree, one of which comes from UNUD," he explained. He added that infrastructure continues to be developed at IKN until now, and it is even hoped that on August 17 this year the Indonesian Independence Day ceremony will be held. The government hopes that with the development of this IKN on Kalimantan Island, the economy will not only be concentrated in Java, but can spread to eastern Indonesia. Appreciation was also expressed by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, UNUD, Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, SH., M.Hum. This is one of Bali's contributions, especially UNUD, to Indonesia, so he continues to ask for the support of many parties in the process of drafting the nomenclature of the Presidential Decree on Regional Division in IKN.
