Governor Koster Invites Universities to Join in Building Bali

The Governor of Bali Wayan Koster aroused the commitment universities in Bali to play an active role in the development of Bali.
"I encourage synergies between the government and universities to create a developed Bali, join together as a force to jointly build Bali," Governor Koster said to Universities leaders and BPD Bali leaders in Wantilan Kerta Sabha, Denpasar on Sunday evening ( June 2, 2019)
Governor Koster hopes that universities commitment can be contained in various aspects of research whose results can be beneficial for Bali development."It is good for nature, culture and people. This commitment will be strengthened by the MoU between the government and universities," Koster explained..
Koster who was born in Sembiran, Buleleng Regency then gave an example, how will the research and community service by universities be in line with the direction and focus of Bali's development, so that it can have a direct impact.
"For example in the food sector, we develop local commodities, local processed products. Then it can also be synergized with village officials, for human resource development, and others. So mutually beneficial, for Bali in general and for universities in carrying out their Tri Dharma," Koster explained.
According to Koster, The vision of 'Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali' which was explored from the roots of Balinese culture and philosophy since hundreds of years ago. Provided many themes and charts for research and research by the universities.
"So the contribution can be focused and in line with the development of Bali in the future. We must be together and in line, not alone, because we have a shared obligation on Bali," Koster added.
While on that occasion, the Chairman of Region VIII L2DIKTI Prof. Dr. I Nengah Dasi Astawa, M.Sc claimed, universities had long been hoping to meet face-to-face and discuss with Governor Koster.
"We academics have long wanted to meet and meet face to face with the Governor," Dasi Astawa said.
He hopes that from this meeting it will be able to become a momentum for the formation of synergy between the PT and the Provincial Government of Bali to jointly develop Bali.
