BADUNG, Balitopnews.com - The Bali Provincial Government through the Bali Province Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Social Service (Dinsos P3A) carried out cremation activities for abandoned bodies in synergy with Prof. DR. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Hospital ,Sanglah Denpasar, at the Dharma Kerti Pura Dalem Cemetery in Kerobokan Traditional Village, North Kuta, District Badung.

The cremation ceremony itself lasted for 2 days from last Wednesday (June 19 ) to today, Thursday (June 20, 2024). At this cremation, the Bali Provincial Government carried out the cremation of 11 abandoned bodies that had been released. This was conveyed by the Head of the Bali Province Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Social Service (Dinsos P3A), Dr. drh. Luh Ayu Aryani, M.P., in Denpasar, Thursday (June 20, 2024) morning while attending a series of cremations at Perabuan Dharma Kerti Pura Dalem Kerobokan Traditional Village

"The cremation ceremony was held from 19 - 20 June 2024 for a total of 11 abandoned bodies that had been cleared for cremation. The cremation costs of IDR 8,500,000 each were fully budgeted for through the Bali Province Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD)," she said.

Aryani said that by carrying out cremation, it is hoped that the body can be returned to the Creator, purify the spirit/atma of the deceased and speed up the return of the body to its natural origin.

Meanwhile, Plt. Director of Operational Services at Prof. Ngoerah Hospital, I Gst Ngurah Ketut Sukadarma straightens out reports in the media regarding the cost of spending Rp. 1.9 Billion. When met during the cremation ceremony, he emphasized that the costs of the cremation ceremony at Dharma Kerti Pura Dalem, Kerobokan Traditional Village, were fully borne by the Bali Provincial Government. "So the Rp. 1.9 billion includes the costs of storing the bodies at the hospital, not only these 11 bodies, but also 5 other bodies which had previously been taken by the Islamic foundation for burial. So it includes the costs of when they were cared for and the costs of storing the bodies because there will be from 2022 and at most 2023. Administratively, there are costs, so the estimate is around IDR 1.9 billion. So I also emphasize that the costs for the cremation ceremony at this time are entirely the costs of the Bali Provincial Government," he explained . (Rls/Btnc)
