Vice Regent of Tabanan I Made Dirga presented a medal to one of the Tabanan Local Run Marathon champions
TABANAN, Balitopnews.com - The marathon sports event entitled "Local Run Tabanan" was successfully held on Sunday (February 23, 2025) with high enthusiasm from the public. This event became a magnet for Tabanan residents from various circles and ages, who participated in two running categories, namely the 5 km and 10 km routes. Carrying the theme "Run in Tabanan, Feel the Singasana Spirit," this activity started at 05.00 A M and was opened directly by the Vice Regent of Tabanan, I Made Dirga, who was present representing the Regent of Tabanan.
Dirga expressed his appreciation for the community's participation and extraordinary enthusiasm in participating in this event. "We hope that this activity will not only be a sporting event, but also strengthen togetherness in building a New Era of Tabanan through various creative events," Dirga said who at that time was accompanied by members of the Tabanan House of Representatives and heads of related regional apparatus. With the number of participants reaching 1,100 people, the Local Run area which started from the Garuda Wisnu Singasana - Taman Bung Karno area seemed filled with the enthusiasm of the runners. Registration for this activity is priced at IDR 150,000 for the 5 km category and IDR 200,000 for the 10 km category. However, public interest remains high, indicating that running is increasingly popular in Tabanan Regency.
One of the participants, Agung from Tabanan, expressed his joy at being able to take part in this event. "The activities are exciting and different. I hope events like this will continue to be held in the future," he said. It is also hoped that this event will be an inspiration for the community to continue living a healthy lifestyle and become a forum for strengthening ties between residents.
