DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Meeting PHDI Lumajang and the Muspika of Senduro District on Tuesday ( June 6 , 2021) decided that the peak of the Piodalan ceremony at the Mandara Giri Semeru Agung Temple on the upcoming Purnama Kasa will still be held with strict Covid-19 health protocols.

This was conveyed by the Vice Governor of Bali, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati (Cok Ace) in a press release in Denpasar, Monday (June 14, 2021).

As for the provisions decided in the meeting attended by the chairman of PHDI Lumajang and Muspika Senduro, as explained by Vice Governor Cok Ace, among others, pemedek must have a negative result of a rapid antigen test which is valid for 2 x 24 hours.

"For pemedek from Bali who want to go to Semeru, they are asked to bring a negative antigen swab result, it can be from their respective health centers,"   Cok Ace explained to the media.

In addition, PHDI Lumajang will also arrange for prayers to be in accordance with the protocol to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

"The newly arrived Pemedek will be directed to the Senduro Field (District-ed) to undergo a medical examination and the necessary administration," he added.

It is certain that PHDI Lumajang will continue to organize and monitor the course of prayers so that the pemedek can keep their distance and avoid crowds while visiting the temple. Likewise, the completeness of the process, such as a handwashing area, is ensured to be sufficient.

In addition, the Puri Ubud figure also appealed to the Balinese who will pray to continue to implement the 3M health protocol with discipline.

"I asked the officials from Bali to continue wearing masks, wash their hands with soap in running water, keep their distance and not create crowds as arranged by the committee," Cok Ace said.

According to him, this is important to do, considering that Lumajang, especially the Senduro area, has so far been an area with a fairly low spread of Covid-19. He did not want the implementation of piodalan without strict health protocols to endanger the health of local residents.

"So let's take care of our health together with the local residents, so that the implementation of this piodalan runs smoothly and the spread of Covid-19 remains under control," he said while saying that Balinese people can pray (pray from their homes) regarding piodalan.

"The peak of work at the Mandara Giri Semeru Temple will be held on June 24, 2021, and Nyineb will be held on July 5, 2021," said Cok Ace while reiterating that the Balinese who are short of tanks should apply the COVID-19 process with discipline so that their return from Semeru will not have a negative impact to Bali.

As is known, the recent condition in Bali has begun to improve, as indicated by the trend of decreasing positive cases and increasing number of recovered patients.

"We don't want the situation that is getting better in Bali to increase again, because we ignore the Covid-19 process in carrying out prayers to Semeru. Moreover, considering that Java in general is still quite high in positive cases, " Cok Ace said (gix)
