JAKARTA, Balitopnews.com - The Acting  Governor of Bali S. M. Mahendra Jaya, attended the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) for Securing Food Supply and Prices in the Ballroom of the Kempinski Hotel, Jakarta, Monday ( March  4,  2024)

The National Coordination Meeting, chaired directly by the Indonesian Minister of Home Affairs, M. Tito Karnavian, discussed joint efforts to control the stability of food supplies and prices ahead of the National Religious Holidays (HBKN), Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1446 H in 2024. As emphasized by the Minister of Home Affairs, the Governor as Chair of the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) must move quickly to ensure food availability and price affordability for the community. "Also, regents and mayors throughout Indonesia should also carry out food control by coordinating with a number of Regional Leadership Communication Forums (Forkopimda) in their respective regions," he said.

Head of the National Food Agency (Bappanas), Arief Prasetyo Adi, said that the National Coordination Meeting was held in accordance with President Joko Widodo's direction, who asked Bappanas to continue to protect food so that it can remain stable in supply and at affordable prices in the community, especially ahead of the HBKN Eid al-Fitr. "It is also an effort to form a comprehensive synergy between ministries and institutions in the food sector, regional heads throughout Indonesia, and business actors to balance food prices well, which does not burden farmers, entrepreneurs and the community," he explained.

This National Coordination Meeting, which was initiated by the National Food Agency, brought together various stakeholders, including the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of BUMN, Ministry of Transportation, Bank Indonesia, Police Headquarters, Perum Bulog, Central Statistics Agency, Regional Heads throughout Indonesia as well as entrepreneurs and associations. in the food sector and other related parties.
