BaliTopNews - Journalists never die

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com – Deputy Team V of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) led by Deputy V KSP Irfan Pulungan conducted a Field Verification of the Situation of Bali Province. The Verification Meeting took place in the Wiswa Sabha Pratama Meeting Room, Bali Governor's Office, Denpasar on Friday (12 July 12,2024)

The event that morning was attended by various stakeholders such as the relevant OPD within the Bali Provincial Government, the Bali Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Bali Province TNI/Polri ranks, and the Indonesian Ministry of Economy and Tourism.

According to Irfan Pulungan, there are three strategic issues that are of concern during this visit, namely narcotics crimes, overcapacity of correctional institutions, as well as security and public order measures in the context of foreign nationals. "For the first two issues, we have carried out verification at Kerobokan Prison in Bali and at BNNP Bali, so this visit is focused on verifying security and order, especially foreign citizens," he said.

He also admitted that various inputs and results of meetings related to these issues would be reported to the Chief of Special Staff to the President, Dr. Moeldoko, to be forwarded to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Ir. Joko Widodo. "For this reason, we expect various reports and input so that we can act on it," he added. Meanwhile, Assistant for Government and People's Welfare of the Regional Secretariat of Bali Province, Dewa Gede Mahendra Putra, expressed his appreciation for this visit. He said this was a matter of concern from the central government for the situation in Bali. Regarding the issue of security and order involving foreign nationals, he admitted that his party had taken preventive measures and taken action against these foreign nationals. The Bali Provincial Government has formulated things that can and cannot be done in Bali (Do's and Don'ts), and even formed a Tourism Satpol PP to socialize these rules to tourists directly. He also hopes that the formulations produced at the morning meeting can become guidelines for the Bali Provincial Government to take action against these tourists. The various inputs provided at the meeting concluded that handling the security situation and public order which is influenced by the activities of foreigners in Bali requires a holistic and integrated approach at all levels of government, from regional to central. For this reason, in the future communication, coordination and collaboration between all stakeholders, both vertical and horizontal agencies, will continue to be sought to overcome this problem.
