DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - Ahead of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Election the Bali Regional Police continues to strive to maintain the security situation in Bali Province. "To make this happen, we are synergizing with related stakeholders, one of which is the Bali Province Communication and Information Service," said Head of Sub-Directorate I, Ditintelkam, Bali Police, AKBP I Wayan Sumara, S.Sos., M.Si, after holding a meeting with the Secretary of the Bali Province Communication and Information Service, Drs. . I Dewa Rai Rustina, M.Si, Tuesday (July 16, 2024).
This meeting in the context of Harkamtibmas (Maintenance of Public Order Security) was held at Warung Be Sanur, Renon, Denpasar.
AKBP Wayan Sumara on that occasion said that the Bali Police hoped that every development of the situation and viral news, both hoax and real, would always be conveyed by Diskominfos. So that police officers can take anticipatory steps so that they do not become a threat to social security and order ahead of the 2024 simultaneous regional elections. "No matter how small the issues that develop in society or on social media, Diskominfos can convey them to us," he said.
Meanwhile Dewa Rai Rustina stated that as the management of Communication and Statistical Information, his party also filters all information that develops in society and on social media if it can cause polemics. "We often carry out cyber patrols that utilize the Communication and Information Service's coding sector, as well as collaborating with related agencies to monitor hoax news that has an impact on disrupting Public Order and Security," he explained.
Dewa Rai added that Kominfos appreciates the ranks of the Bali Regional Police through the Ditintelkam who are very intensive in carrying out synergy. "Hopefully this synergy will be sustainable at the district/city level throughout Bali, so that it can minimize the potential threat of disruption to Public Order and Order, especially through social media," he concluded.
