Governor Koster Prepares Special Financial Assistance Distribution Mechanism for 6 Regencies, Prioritizes Strategic Programs

DENPASAR, Balitopnews.com - The Governor of Bali Wayan Koster will regulate the mechanism according to the Bali Governor Regulation regarding the distribution mechanism for Special Financial Assistance (BKK) for six regencies in Bali.
BKK will prioritize strategic programs in the Bali Region, especially in Bangli, Buleleng, Jembrana, Karangasem, Klungkung and Tabanan. Balinese people in these six regencies will feel the impact of direct support from BKK Badung, Denpasar and Gianyar and also the Bali Provincial Government. The three regional heads stated their readiness to allocate BKK which will be distributed by the Bali Provincial Government. The Mayor of Denpasar IGN Jaya Negara, The Regent of Badung , I Wayan Adi Arnawa, The Regent of Gianyar , I Made Agus Mahayastra, stated this directly in front of Governor Koster.
This was revealed in a coordination meeting (rakor) between the Bali Provincial Government with the Badung Regency Government, Gianyar Regency Government, and Denpasar City Government on Monday (Soma, Wage Julungwangi) April 7, 2025 at Kertha Sabha, Jayasabha, Denpasar.
The coordination meeting was led by Governor Koster, attended by the Mayor of Denpasar, IGN Jaya Negara, The Regent of Badung I Wayan Adi Arnawa, The Regent of Gianyar I Made Agus Mahayastra, Bali Provincial Secretary, Dewa Made Indra, Denpasar City Secretary, Badung Regency Secretary, Head of Bali Provincial BPKAD, Head of Bali Provincial PUPR Service, Head of Bali Provincial Transportation Service, and Bali Provincial Karo Hukum. This coordination meeting discussed Special Financial Assistance (BKK) for the Development of Regional Strategic Projects in Bali and to Bangli Regency, Buleleng Regency, Jembrana Regency, Karangasem Regency, Klungkung Regency, and Tabanan Regency.
The Governor of Bali Wayan Koster said that this BKK will be mechanized according to the Bali Governor Regulation (Pergub), where each (Denpasar City, Badung Regency and Gianyar, ed) will allocate 10 percent of the realization of Certain Goods and Services Tax (PBJT) for Hotel Services and PBJT Food and/or Beverages to Bangli Regency, Buleleng, Jembrana, Karangasem, Klungkung and Tabanan Regency. Then for the BKK which is allocated 50 percent, Governor Koster said that it is intended to finance the development of strategic regional programs in Bali whose infrastructure has been determined; and the development of priority infrastructure in Cities/Regencies throughout Bali.
The Regent of Badung , I Wayan Adi Arnawa stated that he would realize the BKK, and hoped that each region would submit a proposal to us at the Badung Regency Government. "Because we hope that this BKK can be a scheme, as well as to ensure the infrastructure of tourist attractions in Bali that are representative with clear accountability," he explained .
Meanwhile, The Regent of Gianyar, I Made Agus Mahayastra said that this program has been discussed for 20 years, now it is more programmed and detailed. "The point is, we in Gianyar really agree," he said.
The Mayor of Denpasar, IGN Jaya Negara emphasized that the handover of the BKK is expected to be regulated by the Province of Bali to 6 Regencies in Bali based on the area, population, and condition of the area. "In this strategic project, we ask that attention be paid to the issue of waste, because it has an impact on tourism," he said . In this Coordination Meeting, the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster together with the Mayor of Denpasar, the Regent of Badung and the Regent of Gianyar also discussed the operational preparations for the Trans Metro Dewata Bus to Waste Processing.
